If we could give more than 5 stars, we absolutely would! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our visit to Mushroom Espresso was one of those rare breakfast experiences where everything — from the food to the atmosphere — hits the mark and then some. This place is a true hidden gem on Nusa Lembongan and a must-visit for breakfast lovers and croissant connoisseurs alike. Let’s start with the croissants… oh wow. We’ve had our fair share of croissants around the world, but the ones at Mushroom Espresso are next level. Freshly baked, still warm when served, buttery and perfectly flaky on the outside, and with the most delicate hint of honey that elevates them to pure pastry bliss. 🥐🍯 We could’ve ordered five more and called it a day! But of course, we didn’t stop there. We also had: • The Magic Scrambled Egg: Soft, fluffy eggs cooked just right, seasoned perfectly, and served with a side of crusty sourdough toast. It’s one of those dishes that sounds simple but is done with so much care that it turns into something extraordinary. 🍳🍞 • The Big B Breakfast: A generous and beautifully presented platter with eggs, sautéed mushrooms, crispy bacon, roasted tomato, toast, and hashbrowns. A proper breakfast to fuel your day, and every single element was spot-on. Hearty, fresh, and not greasy at all. 🍅🥓🍄 • Two fresh orange juices that were cold-pressed, tangy, and naturally sweet — no added sugar needed. 🍊 • And of course, a round of cappuccinos, which came with beautiful latte art and a velvety texture that shows these baristas know their beans. ☕💫 The café itself has a relaxed, beachy atmosphere — bright, airy, and inviting, with cozy seating and a welcoming vibe. You can tell that the team behind Mushroom Espresso genuinely cares about quality, from the thoughtfully designed menu to the excellent service. In short: this was one of our best breakfast experiences in all of Bali. Every bite was delicious, and we left with full bellies and very happy hearts. 💛 Would we go back? Absolutely. Would we recommend it? Without hesitation. If you’re on Lembongan, do yourself a favor and make this your first breakfast stop — and don’t leave without trying that croissant! 🥐🙌✨

Great coffee and great food at great prices! I mean where else on the island can you find a La Marzocco coffee machine? Gone are the days when Balinese coffee used to be dark roasted and all you could taste was the bitterness of the roast. Now the better places seem to be using a lighter roast which is better suited to the climate, as it produces more fruit driven flavours. My iced latte was so delicious that I had to order another one! And the cooked breakfast hit the spot to served on a bed of proper sourdough toast, which is hard to find on the island. For value doe money it’s hard to go past mushroom espresso, as the quality is excellent. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor setting as well, and I like that the cafe is on a quiet side street so you don’t have to put up with the sound of constant traffic

Great little cafe with awesome music choice and delicious coffee! Croissant was flaky and fresh and the overall vibe was chill and confortable. We ordered: Honey Croissant (10/10) ~ so fresh and flaky one of the best I've ever had Magic Scramble (5/10) ~ eggs were too salty and they could have been more generous with the bacon and feta and hashbrowns were tiny, make sure to ask for more Mother Mary (8/10) ~ really great toastie but wished that the bread was toasted more as it was quite doughy, generous cheese though! Only downfall was the the service was so slow, it took ages for coffee to come and even longer for the food to come, we were so hungry! The T-shirts are a vibe 🍄🍄

We went here from the previous reviews. But we were not impressed at all. Especially not with the service. When we ordered the guy who took our order didn’t seem interested at all and didn’t take any notes of anything. We ordered two meals containing avocado. After we ordered he went away and asked one of the other servers if they actually had avocado. To which they replied no. He comes back to inform us and we said it’s okay without avocado. We also asked for both of the meals to be with scrambled eggs. He nods and walks away. Fast forward to 30mins later and we still haven’t received our drinks so we ask about it. And of course they had not gotten our order at the bar/kitchen. We make the order again and this time we can see they actually start working at the bar (good news!).

After about 20 more minutes we receive everything. And here comes the worst part, our meals were some of the most unimpressive we’ve had in Indonesia. Also only one of them actually had scrambled eggs, the other meal came with poached???And for that price aswell??? If you’re going to charge more than all the other cafes around, at least make it better than them. After our meal, no one was asking how everything was. Hence the review. Would have preferred to tell you in person.

We didn’t seem to be the only ones who had to ask for their food to come. Lots of things coming out of the kitchen late…

Anyways, the location is good, and it seems like it usually is a good place to have breakfast/brunch. Maybe we were just unlucky. But still left very...

Seemed to be understaffed the day we were there. The staff member we did interact with was very friendly. It took over 20 mins for us to place our order (after I approached them). A breakfast and toasted sandwich with a hot cappuccino and iced long black with milk on the side. We were advised that they had run out of normal milk so we went with oat and almond. My sandwich arrived about 10 minutes after my husband's meal but we still hadn't received our coffees. After I finished my sandwich my husband checked in on our coffees, it seems the order never went in. A couple of minutes later two hot cappuccinos turned up, when I said I had ordered an iced long black they took the cappuccino away and after another 5 mins delivered a hot long black. I decided not to send it back but tried to drink it with the almond milk which of course, split the milk. Overall, we were a bit disappointed as we had been looking forward to visiting - hopefully just an off...
