Two raksa cafe — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

Just wow! We have been staying on Ceningan for 6 days and eaten at Two Raksa 4 times! 3 times for dinner and once for lunch. Every single dish we ordered was AMAZING! My husband and I don't really like corn but had read their corn fritters were good, so at around $3 AUD we thought we'd give them a go.. Absolutely delicious! The first night we had the corn fritters, Spicy BBQ wings, spring rolls, chicken satay and Mie Goreng plus 4 bintangs and our whole bill came to about $33 AUD. All sensational 👌 Their pizza is definitely the best we've had on our trip, and their pasta, AMAZING! Oh and the Iced lemon tea, sooo yummy and refreshing and ice cold bintangs! Komang and Ketut are the most beautiful people! Yesterday was Kuningan ceremony and they dressed us up in Sarongs so we could go and watch the Ceremony on Lembongan in true Balinese style. Two Raksa is a hidden gem on a little island with beautiful ambience, service and such delicious food. 10/10 on all fronts. After my Bali trip, I noticed how nice it is to read a review you can rely on. There are quite a few restaurants but not many comprehensive reviews. I will do my best to write so accurately why you should eat here :).

The food They have an extensive menu but several Indonesian dishes including the Gado Gado. They make the food fresh for you (it can sometimes take a while (we didn't mind). We ordered satay, Gado Gado and the curry with vegetables. Everything was delicious. The meals are made with dedication that you can taste in everything.

The location The you sit in the garden (very atmospheric). At the bar they make your fresh juice and in the kitchen in the back they make your food. On the street you see a lot of scooters. It's nice sitting.

The friendliness We felt more than welcome here. We had a nice conversation in English. They do it together with their son.

We came because of the great review, unfortunately our experience wasn’t as delightful. The food taste good, but we waited 40minutes for the food while we were the only one (2person) there. When the food finally arrived, the condiments was different from what was written in the menu, it was supposed to be waterspinach (which i love and the reason I chose that menu), when I ask the server she said ‘we have waterspinach, but I thought you might want something different’ Then I told her I want waterspinach and I don’t mind waiting again. 5 minutes later she came back to me and said ‘i checked the fridge, and mistaken other veggies for waterspinach, and the waterspinach is actually no more’.
