We had a group lunch here. We chose this place because it looked nice from the outside. From the getgo, we knew that it would be expensive to dine here. However, we also thought that we would get good food that is worthy of its price tag. It's a company lunch, so we wanted to impress our employees.
First, we ordered drinks. The beverages were well-presented, and tasted as you'd expect when you pay a premium price. No complaints here at all. In fact, the beverages and the restaurant atmosphere are the two things that turned this originally one-star review to a two-star review.
Unfortunately, then came along the food. One of our employees had ordered 'Iga Bakar' which is a Rp100k+ dish. Imagine our surprise when what came along was three small pieces of bone with barely any meat, and rice wasn't even included in that Rp100k price. It's hard to describe the disappointment we felt when this dish was served, but let's just say the portion of this dish wasn't even adequate to satiate a cat, let alone a human adult.
The next dish to be served was 'Bistik Panjawa' which was around Rp85k per dish, and it was about the thinnest piece of steak I've ever seen, served together with two or three tiny balls of baby potatoes in a small plate.
Up to this point we felt like we'd been scammed by the pretty pictures they put on their menu. Certainly, this experience has put us off from dining at this establishment nor any of its branches elsewhere. It seems that they are trying too hard for their atmosphere to appear premium from the outside, but they forgot to make their dishes premium quality as well.
For the sake of a fair review, I will add though that the traditional snacks they served were decent in terms of value-for-money. Can't say much about the service, as nothing special stood out. They give you a QR to order from, so there's not much interaction with the staff.
If you have nowhere else to go, you can stop by this restaurant for a quick drink or snack. I advise...

Located near the AEON Supermarket on the ground floor. They serve Indonesian cuisine with emphasize on the spices, hence the name "Rempah." I was part of a 8 people plus 2 kids party.
I ordered the Nasi Kendil Ayam Suwir Serundeng, the Bakwan Platter, and a glass of sweet iced tea. The nasi kendil is basically a rice dish served on a banana leaves on top of a clay pot (kendil). The dish consists of rice, fried coconut flakes (serundeng), shredded fried chicken, salted egg slices, sprinkled with whole spices of shallots, garlic cloves, spring onions, and chilis. It looked "spectacular," but, only for shows. The dish was impractical, as it had no firm bottom to support scooping and cutting. I had to move the rice with the banana leaves on to a plate. The rice actually went well with the shredded chicken and the serundeng. However, the whole spices got me confused on either to consume them or to just leave them on the side. Lesson learned for me to leave some of them, after I took a bite of hot garlic clove that caused quite of a burn inside my mouth. Meanwhile, the shallots were easy to consume, and the spring onions were very chew-y.
The Bakwan Platter is five pieces of bakwan with different fillings and toppings, served with two selections of chili sauce: Matah and spicy-sour. The size of the bakwans were big. I tried three, and all of them tasted OK.
The sweet iced tea was so-so, but, good thing that they serve free flow of...
