We visited this restaurant recently with high hopes, and at first, it looked promising. The food was truly delicious, the ambience was beautiful, and the setting felt perfect for a great dining experience.
👍 What we loved:
•Every dish we ordered tasted excellent. •Drinks were okay. •The atmosphere and interior design were warm, stylish, and welcoming.
👎 Where things went wrong:
Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food. A female staff member dressed in all black, who greeted and seated us (likely the hostess), also took our drink orders. My husband received his wine quickly, but my spicy margarita was delayed for over 15 minutes. We even saw the bartender about to make it, but he disappeared into the kitchen, and drinks for the next table were served before mine.
When I asked the hostess, she looked completely lost and didn’t know how to respond. She didn’t apologize, didn’t offer a solution, and just froze. I had to push her to take action, and when I snapped and told her that her behavior was unacceptable, she paused and just said “sorry.” I replied, “you’re only saying that because I’m angry and told you to apologize.” After that, she stopped coming to our table entirely.
At one point, I even took a photo and you can clearly see her and the bartender in the background talking. I’m not sure what was being discussed, but it was obvious she was avoiding dealing with us directly by walking over there. It felt like she was trying to escape the situation rather than handle it, which is the opposite of what good hospitality should be.
What disappointed us most was that none of the staff stepped in to help or manage the situation. In well-run restaurants, the team knows how to think on their feet and support one another, here, no one did. The bartender, in particular, seemed very inexperienced and nervous. He was unfocused, touching too many things at once and showing signs of being overwhelmed. For someone who enjoys cocktails, it was clear he lacked the skill and confidence expected in a place like this.
What the restaurant really needs is a manager on standby, someone who can step in, handle issues professionally, and guide the team. A place this good in food and design deserves better service leadership.
Thankfully, Hendra, one of the servers, turned things around. He came over, checked in on us, offered me a different drink to try, and later informed us the margarita was taken off the bill. His genuine hospitality made a big difference, and it wasn’t surprising to hear he had experience working on cruise ships in Europe.
Final thoughts:
We truly loved the food and ambience, and we’d like to come back but honestly, we’re unsure. There are many great restaurants in Bali with better, more professional service. Until the staff is better trained and managed, we’d hesitate to...

The highlight of our meal was, of course, the signature entrecôte steak — perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. It came with crispy pommes frites and a delicious house sauce that brought everything together. Myself I had the Baramandi so Divine! The Cocktails and Wine list 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
For dessert we shared the crème brûlée it was heaven — creamy inside with that perfect caramelized top.
