Ming Garden used to be our favorite place; though it is pretty pricy, the food tastes terrific. It had been years since our last visit because of the pandemic, and today, because we had to wait for our car to get updated next door, we revisited our Fave Chinese food restaurant.

The ambiance is still the same as several years ago, with a more classic feel of a family Chinese food restaurant; they don’t aim to be a hip Instagramable resto like all new players, but the service is remarkable from start to finish.

We ordered several favorite menus from our experience; we used to love their fried rice wrapped with lotus leaf, so we ordered that, also a portion of Angsio Shiitake Mushroom and one basket of siumay.

The Siumay is good and tender, and the shitake mushroom is also good, but we’re a bit disappointed with the fried rice because it tastes bland; the shrimp and meat are plenty, but the overall taste is not what...

One of the few finest Chinese Restaurant in Surabaya in my opinion.

They used to operate at smaller building next to the current building. It was always full and then they were expanding and built 2 storey building restaurant which now used as their main restaurant. 2nd storey is a big hall to held a party such as marriage ceremony. Elevator is available.

The first building actually still can be used but not as daily operation.

Tastewise, it is classy, it is smooth, it is tasty, it is delicious. Especially their DimSum.. love it! Their Chicken Feet DimSum is just simply topnotch.

Pricewise, how to say it.. it is not cheap but it is worth it. Staff attendees are fast and very responsive.
