Very disappointed with the service.

We reservation this place, using VIP room (Shang hai Room), and there is minimum order.

We use 3 tables (1 tables for 6 - 8 peoples). When we ask about the menu size (portion), the marketing said that one portion is for 2-3 peoples. We ask her for sure, because on our experience before, it is much bigger that what she said. But, we believe her, and order 2 portion each. (We already explained to them that there is kids and elders). The result is .. lot of foods come and we can not eat it. We even didn't touch the last menu at all.

After the event, we just knew that our guest is not allowed to order besides water, tea and Chineese tea (WTH) !

Finally, when we were about to end the event, because the minimum order was not sufficient, we ordered 2 bottles of wine. Which one bottle to serve, and one bottle to take home. Before being served, we asked the waiter whether it was possible to serve it, because it was already 14:30 o Clock. Which from what we asked before the marketing said that the restaurant will be closed at 14:30. The waiter said it was okay and we ask them to served the wine.

After waiting approx 10-15 minutes, there was no sign the wine being served, and ..... what happened was the AC was OFF.

When we went out and asked about the wine, it turned out that the wine was still being chilling. We are really disappointed with services like this, if it really needs to be cooled, and it takes time, why there is no explanation at all ?! Even more, we already asked about the time and the restaurant said it was okay, but why was the air conditioner turned off (only our room was turned off).

Truly a 5 star hotel restaurant with 1 star service

PS: for the taste of the food, it's delicious.

Kami mengadakan event dengan meminjam ruangan Shang Hai. Ada syarat pemakaian minimum.

Karena kami menggunakan 3 meja, dan menanyakan seputar menu. Khususnya untuk porsi setiap menunya. Dari marketing mengatakan bahwa 1 menu itu untuk 2-3 orang. (Kami sudah menjelaskan bahwa banyak orang tua dan anak-anak). Kami sudah memastikan kembali bahwa porsi tersebut untuk 2-3 orang karena saat makan di kesempatan yang lain kami merasa porsinya cukup banyak.

Karena 1 meja berisi 6 - 8 orang, maka kami memesan 2 porsi setiap meja. Hasilnya ... menunya bisa untuk 10 - 12 orang. Makanan mubazir, pada akhirnya banyak makanan yang dibungkus dibawa pulang.

Selain itu, kami baru tahu setelah acara bahwa ternyata tamu kami tidak dibebaskan untuk memilih minuman. Tamu kami hanya diperbolehkan memilih mineral water, teh, or chinese tea.

Yang terakhir pada saat kami akan mengakhiri acara, dikarenakan minimum order belum mencukupi, maka kami memesan anggur 2 botol. Di mana satu botol untuk dihidangkan, dan satu botol untuk dibawa. Sebelum dihidangkan kami menanyakan kepada pramusaji, apakah memungkinkan untuk disajikan, karena waktu sudah menunjukkan pukul 14:30 lewat sedangkan pembicaraan dengan marketing, restoran hanya buka hingga pukul 14:30. Pramusaji menyatakan tidak apa-apa dan bisa dihidangkan.

Setelah menunggu kira-kira 10-15 menit, tidak ada tanda-tanda anggur dihidangkan, yang terjadi adalah... AC DIMATIKAN.

Ketika kami keluar, menanyakan anggurnya, ternyata anggurnya masih diDINGINKAN. Sungguh kami sangat kecewa dengan pelayanan seperti ini, jikalau memang perlu didingingkan, dan membutuhkan waktu, kenapa tidak ada penjelasan sama sekali. Yang lebih lagi membuat kami kecewa, kami sudah menanyakan masalah waktu dan restoran mengatakan tidak apa-apa, tetapi kenapa AC DIMATIKAN (yang dimatikan hanya ruangan kami saja).

Just visited Xiang Fu Hai Chinese Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! This is easily one of the best Chinese restaurants in Surabaya, and definitely worth it.

Their menu offers a wide variety, and almost everything tastes great. The dim sum, in particular, is a highlight – truly some of the most delicious in Surabaya.

They used to have a Buy 1 Get 1 Free All You Can Eat Dim Sum promo on Wednesdays from 12 PM to 3 PM. I'd recommend calling them to confirm if this offer is still valid!
