Sapore Osteria — Restaurant in Surabaya

We stayed at the hotel and decided to have a dinner at Osteria with prior reservation. What surprised me and my wife was, we were seated outside of the restaurant right under the stairs, with virtually nothing to see around as the restaurant was holding engagement event. The foods were utterly terrible, as we ordered one medium well tagliata (which was unevenly cooked) and well done lamb chop (again, same issue, the inner part was dripping blood), and it was super hard to chew. It was supposed to be our wedding anniversary date, but it turned out to be a very unpleasant dining experience. We hope that the management takes this issue into account for the comfort of future guests :)

The ambience is nice to relax and have a chat while enjoying the food, the waitress is very good, as a standard of 5stars hotel resto. We order the pizza and meatball. The pizza is one of the best in Surabaya (at least,,, even not authentic enough), but the meatball sorry to say it is not enjoyable to eat, very soft up to the point it crumble before we bite it... Not the usual meat all texture...

Today’s meal was beyond my expectations. Although not on the menu, I asked for gnocchi pomodoro. The server says “No problem!” It was out of this world. My wife had spaghetti with mixed seafood. Absolutely delicious. Portion was huge. The waiter (Denny) was so nice. Professional...
