I had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant in Tangsel that specializes in serving authentic cuisine from the beautiful island of Lombok. Rembiga Satay, named after the village it originated from in NTB, offers a delightful culinary experience that showcases the unique flavors of the region.
One of the highlights of my meal was the Rembiga Satay, featuring tender beef with a soft texture. The combination of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors was simply exquisite. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste that left me craving for more. It was evident that the chefs at Rembiga Satay have mastered the art of creating satay that captures the essence of Lombok's culinary heritage.
Another must-try dish at this restaurant is the iconic Ayam Taliwang. Traditionally, this dish consists of grilled chicken served with sambal, a flavorful chili paste. However, at Rembiga Satay, they also offer a deep-fried version of the chicken. The taste was outstanding, and I was impressed by the attention to detail in ensuring the chicken was cooked to perfection. The restaurant's commitment to using free-range chicken further enhanced the quality of the dish.
Apart from the delightful cuisine, the restaurant's interior was also worth mentioning. The wooden tables and chairs added a rustic charm to the ambiance, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for diners.
Overall, my experience at Rembiga Satay was truly memorable. The restaurant's commitment to serving authentic Lombok cuisine was evident in the taste and presentation of the dishes. If you're looking for a restaurant in Tangsel that offers a taste of Lombok, I highly recommend visiting Rembiga Satay. You won't be...
Read moreI went for dinner here and apparently the seats are full. The place was lively and homey but most importantly, the food was coming right on time.
Well after all I was really surprised with the food. All is good. I tried Sup Asam Kuah Patin and it had a distinctive taste unlike the other Pindang I tried. It's fresh and well balanced. Then I tried Ayam Taliwang and plecing kangkung, the most popular dishes from Lombok and both had authentic taste as well. Dadar jagung was a must, it's heavenly.
And the highlight of all was Bebek Goreng. I thought it was not on the recommendation list at the menu but I just ordered it anyway. Apparently it was so nice, so tender, and so yummy. It's still hot when it was served, so the duck skin still have a crackling and juiciness.
Honestly, it's such a pleasant to visit here and such a new tasting experience that made me miss...

Ordered ayam taliwang - beware its a bit spicy but here you can choose the spicy level. They also came with chili for extra kicks. For the ayam taliwang they used either ayam kampung or pejantan which are smaller in size but packed with more flavour. Despite the looks, the spices was not overbearing and still have a balance taste.
Ordered also gurame bakar madu - the fish was moist but have crispy outer texture. The fish was fresh so it was such a delighful experience!
Oh and for drinks please see the picture, its huge. So its really worth it. 👏👏
