Asmara Restaurant Senggigi — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

We had an extremely pleasant experience here in Asmara! Honestly, we came without high expectations, but we were very happy to enjoy the dishes. We had Greek salad, mixed seafood Asmara, wiener schnitzel. Absolutely delicious! We were surprised to discover huge bushes of fresh basil in the garden, fresh tarragon used in the kitchen and fresh dill as well. Herbs used in European cuisine, not in Asia. The way the dish looked, the amazing taste, the flavor, made us very happy! I realized that the chef, an Indonesian guy, is an expert, the spinach was extremely well sautéed, the potato croquettes crispy, perfect. A big bravo! My husband, bavarian guy, was very excited and chose pretzel with butter and viennese schnitzel. Too bad they didn't have apfel strudel on the menu anymore! Disappointing last night. Waited 50 mins for starter then another 25 for main course. Had to send fish main course back smothered in salt already. Took an age to be offered a drink. Male waiters could not understand English serving the front of house tables.They still added on the service charge !! Not going back.

Strange response from owner for a poor but deserved review. We have NOT reviewed the wrong restaurant. How many fish dishes were sent back that night ? If you ask your staff they will tell you. Yes because of huge time delays and sending the fish dish back we asked to not pay the service charge after ruined meal. We did not dare order another meal because of time it took the other food to come out. Service charge WAS still included in bill, which we paid...

Our favourite restaurant in Senggigi ! Huge choice of tasty western, indonesian, both vegetarian & meat meals made with the high quality ingredients by a talented chef. The staff is always attentive, polite and super helpful. The food comes fast, is delicious and nicely decorated. The garden area makes the atmosphere cozy, romantic and cute. We’ve noticed that they have also a billiards table at the back and some books to read. Toilet is shiny clean. What else you can ask for!? We have been here almost every day of our stay...
