D' Maiq Restaurant — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

Didn’t make it back to our room without making a restroom stop! Stay away from tuna! They claim to have fresh tuna. Previous night we ate at Mowies and I had a rare tuna stake burger and it was outstanding, so I foolishly believed the freshness and ordered rare. I have a strong stomach, so I wasnt to concerned. I get through Mexico without an incident, so I thought I was ok. Anyways, Ordered rare, it comes to me well done, so I send it back since this place is probably the most expensive dinner we had on Gili air. It came back medium rarish so I let that slip. It didn’t taste fresh, and I should have called it a loss and walked away. But instead I decided to finish it since I was famished. Not 5 minutes later, on our walk back to our room, I couldn’t hold it anymore, and ended up destroying a random restaurants restroom. Ended up snacking on Imodium and peptobismo for the rest of the night. To be fair, I also had a Soup, and my wife had chicken breast, and both were great.So you get 2...

Squid was raw. Lamb fat was cold. "Buffet" was empty. Only limp cold sweet potatos available. Spaghetti with tomato sauce was ok, but penne was finished.. very small selection of ingredients. Personal let us wait. Personal were obviously overburdened! Meal were not served at same time on the table.. I was finished with eating, my partner had to wait. The price is more expensive then the other restaurants arround. We had 6 cats arround us, that is a plus! and the reason why...

There is much better and cheaper on gili air! We had to wait 45 minutes for plain spaghetti which were not good! The grilled tuna came with a bad sweet sauce not mentioned on the menu, the satay on the chicken was bad and the rice from buffet cold. The papaya juice was tasteless because there was too much water and the bill very spicy with tax and service charge which were not included in the price on the menu....
