Nearly the only bar that was open early in the morning, so we could have breakfast with a nice view.

I ordered a sandwich that literally was called "Beef, vegetables, egg". They brought me a sandwich without eggs. When I asked the waiter why there was no egg, he said that I actually had to choose between beef and egg and if I want egg then I have to pay extra. But when I was making an order, nobody told me that I had to choose. And in my bill I still got a "Beef, vegetables, egg" sandwich. Seems they just wanted to save on me.

My partner ordered nasi champur (mixed rice) with chicken. They brought rice without chicken. When he asked where the chicken was, they said it was still frozen that's why they didn't put it in the dish. In the bill they charged him extra for eggs that they put in his dish, although he didn't ask for them.

Seems those guys try to save on tourists and charge some extra money.

We had booked a stay at this property but decided to leave immediately upon arrival. The bathroom had clearly not been cleaned: there were glasses left in the shower and the toilet was in a disgusting state. The grounds around the bungalow were dirty, with visible trash. The room was in need of renovation: all the electrical outlets were coming loose from the walls, which themselves were dirty, and the headboard was wrapped in torn plastic. Communication was also difficult, since the person at reception did not speak English, and when we contacted the owner, he did not seem concerned about the situation. I do not recommend this place! There are far better options...

Don’t trust Joel (Ahmed), the owner of the Why Not Bar, to arrange transport for you. Not only does he include unrequested stops at tourist traps in Lombok, he also purposefully stays vague about travel details so he can charge extra for his ‘services’. It makes sense that he charges an extra for arranging everything for you, you end up paying triple (1,3M) of what the actual cost (410K) is for a trip from Gili Air to Labuan Bajo.

I understand that people have been hit hard by the pandemic, but that’s no excuse for such deception.
