We spent a lot of time at Ra Healing food during the one week that we were in Gili Air. The restaurant is right next to the beach and has a really awesome setup. There are several elevated padded areas to sit and you can work/enjoy your food. It's also a prime location to watch the sunset. We made it a routine for a bit to order smoothie bowls in the morning and would spend multiple hours there.
Our favourite smoothie bowls were the Vishuddha and the Svadisthan. The food here tastes fresh and healthy and delicious. I was so impressed with the jungle nachos as well. You should definitely try them! The pad thai and jungle bowl are also winners. The owner Lynn has clear philosophy on food as medicine, and this is expressed through their nutritious, clean, and diverse selection.
The staff has great energy, and is always so warm. The huts by the ocean are a magical portal that weâd spend days in at a time.
In terms of what we specifically love from the menu: the gluten free pizza, savory pancakes, nori roll, nachos, and any of the zoodles.
They cook with coconut oil only and use sea salt. We went around the island asking so many places what they cook with, and Ra Healing was one of two places that didnât use toxic ingredients. Theyâre...
