Excellent restaurant with exlcusively vegan food. We ate here twice with friends because we all liked it so much. To get a taste of the variety, our friends had the mix platter of which every dish was delicious and my partner and I had the Musa Burger and the Jackfruit Gyro the first time. The Burger is delicious, has more weight to it and the patty super tasty. The Jackfruit Gyro had great texture and is so tasty as well as refreshing with its white sauce. I highly recommend both dishes although I wouldn’t be surprised if the entire menu was just as good.
The staff are infinitely kind and caring. Within the 3 days of coming here, the lady that waited on us remembered the few words of luxembourgish we taught here which is very impressive. The chocolate cake (which wasn’t called that) was also light and moist and perfect to finish of our first evening! The red wine (chilean syrah) wasn’t the best unfortunately but I’m sure the white wine (chileab chardonnay) is a safer choice.
As for the atmosphere, the place is on a small road, away from any noise and is pretty tranquil.
Can highly recommend coming here even as a non-vegan (such as ourselves) to discover some new flavours and to experience the kind service of...
Read moreFirst of all: It’s a very beautiful café and the staff is very friendly - which is why I gave 2/5 stars.
However, from my experience the brownie is definitely not worth the money. It’s tiny and at the same time doesn’t taste like anything. I’ve tried a lot of brownies in my life, and this one - I’m sorry to say - was probably the worst one I ever had. It barely tastes like chocolate. Also, the ice cream had a very weird texture because it was full with ice crystals. I suggest working on the recipe of this brownie a little more 🙃🙏🏼
Additionally, I found a piece of hard plastic in the brownie. After showing the waitress, she offered me a 10% discount, which is nice, yes, but - from my point of view - not adequate. When a guest finds plastic, you should offer the food for free or at least offer to renew it (as in bringing a new brownie), but it’s not really professional to let the guest finish a brownie where he/she found a piece of plastic in.
Lastly, for some reason there were tons of weirdly looking flies when I visited. Not sure why and if it’s always like that, but they landed everywhere (on the cake, in my glass of water, in my face), which was very annoying. Not sure if Musa is able...
Read moreMusa has some of the best food on the island, with a few misses. The Jackfruit Gyro, Sloppy Joe, Eggplant Fries, and Snack Platter for Two were all fantastic- some of the best meals I’ve had in Indonesia. The Spring Roll Bowl, French Toast, and Cheesecake were all pretty low quality and uninspiring, with the noodles in the Spring Roll Bowl possibly being spoiled (not that that would have saved that particular meal). The Mayan Cacao and Chai Latte were both fantastic, while the Americano was just average. On our third visit, after spending quite some cash here (it’s one of the most expensive places on the island) the waiter informed us they would not fill our glasses of water because they only offer one cup of water per person per visit... really? that’s where a place that charges the highest prices on the island is going to nickel and dime patrons? Strangely, there wasn’t even an offer to purchase water. The location is beautiful and the staff is nice so overall pretty good, with some room for...
