Unfortunately, my experience at Warung Warna was far from positive, and I have to say it was the worst Indonesian food I’ve had during my time here. While I was hoping for a more authentic and flavorful meal, the dishes fell short in both taste and presentation. The flavors were bland, and the quality of the food just didn’t live up to the standards you’d expect, especially in a country known for its incredible cuisine. There was nothing that stood out as particularly enjoyable, and it was quite disappointing, especially when there are so many other great food options in the area.
To make matters worse, the cocktails were equally underwhelming. I found them to be poorly made, lacking flavor, and overall just not enjoyable. Given the abundance of vibrant, well-made drinks you can find on Gili T, these were a real letdown.
While the location and setting might seem appealing, I would strongly recommend giving this place a miss. There are plenty of other warungs and restaurants around that offer much better food, drinks, and overall dining experiences. Read moreWe were a group of five that went to this restaurant. First of all it took a while for the waiter to even notice that we were in the restaurant. We had to fetch the waiter ourselves. We ordered for quite a few dishes. However, some of our orders (BBQ whole Coral fish and Tuna Fillet) were not served and the BBQ station at the restaurant was closed. So we had to go to another restaurant for dinner. This is not the way a service business treats it's customers. We had ordered a pizza along with the fish. The pizza served was the worst I've ever had. We then went to Little Italy where the staff were welcoming and served us with good pizza. Take a chance with this restaurant if you want to but I definitely would not recommend it since we had a very bad experience here. It may be different for you. Wish you...
Read moreWas coming here for dinner tonight because they offered barbeque, even though it's a bit over price we're willing to try. Choose one of the fish and seems like they have no idea what kind of fish was that. The fish was so hard like a rubber, amazingly unable to eat it, really need effort for slicing it. They don't even say thank you, and ignored us when we finished to eat and walking back to our hotel. So pity since they have no guest during this covid time but they don't know how to handle and grab the situation back. The island was so dirty and unorganized.. Poor gili...
