Adam's Coffee & Pastry — Restaurant in Yogyakarta

No Doubt A Jealous Competitor. I read the Dec 20, 2023 ( Rivka JJ ) review of Adam's Coffee, JL Prawiroraman 30 Yogyakarta on Google and thought to my self, "what a joke!". Adams Coffee shop is constantly filled with customers who are served what is some of the best Java Coffee Indonesia has offer. In fact, I asked the owner, the coffee is a blend of 70% premium arabica beans, 30% Robusta. The water is fresh, pure,BPA ( that harmful chemical ) free, and is precisely heated by top-of-line brewing equipment to the exact temperature required for the type of coffee drink you have ordered. What's more, the price is right- considerably cheaper than competitors inferior Coffee. I wonder, could this Google reviewer be an envious competitor who is spamming Adam's Coffee? Sound like it... I've been coming here daily for six months along with my good friends who has been a steady customer for two years. I plan to keep coming. So...

Delicious coffee, great food, very friendly with a smile. The people here love a chat and can recommend places and activities to help you to get the most out of Yogyakarta. We were in town for a week and discovered Adam's Coffee on our first day; we came in every morning after that for a delicious breakfast and to plan the day. Would recommend to anyone from out of town, and anyone who enjoys their coffee.

** Update in response to review from Rivka Jj from mid-Dec 2023, complaining about dirty coffee. This must have been an unlucky one-off, or more likely you got sick from somewhere else. I remember that the owner Mr Agung was a coffee fanatic, always cleaning his machine, adjusting the mix of beans, tweaking the pressure to get the coffee exactly right, and asking customers for feedback. No chance he would...

Came with zero expectations and gained a full heart and stomach! It's UNBELIEVEABLE GOOD.

We were served by Agung, the owner, and his daughter. They explained every menu as we asked them, and we were curious to try NASI BUNTIL. We are Indonesian, but this menu is really hard to find. The veggies were fresh, and the fried chicken was tasty.

We also ordered the BANANA PANCAKE, which was satisfactory. It had chocolate in the pancake, making it different from any other pancakes I have tried. We continued with SAMOSA (with smoked beef and mayo inside!) and MARTABAK, both guilty pleasures as they were deep-fried, but both tasted amazing.

We would also recommend the coffee. My husband chose an AMERICANO, and I picked an OAT LATTE. Both were good. 🫶🏻
