Could be soooooo much better.

Service was OK, nothing special. If I'm honest it was lacking a little on the usually very high standards set in Indonesia. We asked for salt and pepper to flavour the food, which they provided, however the pepper was almost empty and was mixed with something else (possibly to stop it drying out?) so whatever else it was also went on the food when you shook it. I didn't think too much of it, until I saw they had actual peppermills sitting inside the restaurant which weren't offered. So weird. Had to ask for a lot of things, extra glasses for water, side plates, cheese etc.

Food was, again, OK. Bruschetta lacked flavour. Needed salt and pepper. The pasta dough was actually pretty good. Shame both sauces tasted of very little. There was a good amount of sage on the ravioli dish, but the butter sauce tasted of nothing at all! Whoever is cooking needs to taste the food as it's going out with very limited flavour. The portion size of the fettuccine was too small for what is being charged. A tiny smattering of cheese is put on the pasta, be prepared to pay for more if you want a regular portion!

Was craving yummy comfortable decent pasta for the night and saw Warung Toscana right across the street from the alley street from my hotel. All of the pasta seems tempting yet I need some beef to fill my tummy, so I got the tortellini beef with creamy mushroom sauce accompanied by a glass of hot ginger tea.

The food was good although the temperature between the pasta and the sauce was somewhat different, might be processed on different plates beforehand? Not sure but it wasn't really an issue but it felt funny a little bit on my tongue. The sauce could get creamier and less salty, perhaps for a better flavor perception.

The place was comfortable and the staffs were friendly. Overall, great experience trying out Italian food in Yogyakarta :) might want to take another visit soon once I go back here to try the...

Quality of food not matching it’s rating. Pasta carbonara. Absolutely wrong flavor profile compared to decent carbonara in Jogjakarta(even i can taste a little bit of coconut milk in it). FYI i cannot find any authentic italian carbonara yet in Jogja. Yet this does not taste like decent wanna be carbonara. Roast beef a little bit overseasoned. Side dish and sauce full of MSG flavor. Instant sauce powder? Mash potato has a pudding like texture and also full of msg / stock powder flavor. The only thing preventing me for going 1 star is the place. Well lit and well decorated.
