Thursday night was Classic Rock night. My wife and I came from California, USA to check out the supposedly best bar in Yogyakarta. Well I must say it wasn't all that. The band was OK, but their audio sucked. Treble was too high and not enough bass. Wife had a Long Island and a Pina Colada. Both were weak. My beer was cold to start but they didn't offer any ice to keep it cold. Lastly, my bill was $360,000 rupiah. I gave $400K. The cahier didn't have exact change and asked me for a $10K. I said sorry bro. He was able to give me 3 $10K and 4 $2K but was short another $2K. I had to tell him he short changed me. He knew what was up. He probably thought I was drunk from the weak ass beers. Not a good recommendation for a first impression of Yogyakarta. Better to go somewhere else. Maybe EC Executive Karaoke located nearby. Peanuts were pretty damn good though. That's the second star. Sorry homies, but screw me,...
Read moreThis place pop up on google when I search for place to have beer near Malioboro street on 26 march 2024, 4:45 PM. the place look like it was not open for service, dark and scattered small tables and chairs. One male staff is the only person behind the bar. I asked for large bintang and a plate of french fries. Later on I had another bintang and a plate of 4 pcs small chicken wings. 2 ladies sit at different tables outside, turned out they were staffs. Don't show any interest on me. The bill was Rp 255.000 which is seem fine considering it was not easy to find cold beer around Malioboro street, while in Bali a bottle of large bintang cost about 60-75k in any cafes or restaurants or 45k in CK shops. It was a planned rip off for everybody who went there because most of them are tourists who just want to have cold beer for one evening while visiting Malioboro. My advise is always ask for...
Read moreThis place probably good for music but shame for its food. I came here early at 3pm and ordered a carbonara. Only 2-3 guests were around at that time. I saw the waiters go in and out the store till it empty and i had no one to assist me. They seemed to run out of ingredients stock. After 30 minutes, the food finally came and were really upsetting. They serve me a full plate carbonara which is actually only a bunch of boiled spaghetti with cheese and minced meet. Plain, dry, not creamy at all, and burned on some side. The waitress seems really confident with their cafe but they should start fixing their food and only serve what...
