I’ve never written a review before. This is my first, just cause this place is the closest thing to heaven in Jogja (to me).

Chicken is moist and tender, with a perfect combination of savory and sweetness. I ordered three additional pieces of chicken out of fear I’ll never taste anything like this again after leaving Jogja. My mum and wife thought I was mad - I’m not. They are for not ordering more.

Plain white rice always resonates with my Chinese blood. But this one tasted exceptional after the sweet and strongly flavored Indonesian food we encountered frequently.

The deep fried flour is crisp, light and very mildly salted. Just the way I like my potato chips.

The chili is the glue that binds everything together - the chicken, white rice and fried floor. I can’t take spicy food well, but I was abusing myself throughout cause it’s just not ayam bakar without it.

Lastly, the owner. Even with the language barrier we somehow managed to understand one another. We paid after our meal as with all the other patrons. He charged us the same as the locals and smiled warmly when I said ‘I’ll be...

This place is really famous. People in Yogyakarta often come here when they’re craving grilled chicken. As you might guess, their specialty is grilled chicken — and it’s incredibly tender. You can choose between the thigh or the breast, and even the breast is juicy, with flavor that soaks deep into the meat. I think they marinate the chicken in a pressure cooker, then grill it to order — that’s why it tastes so good and didn't take long time to serve the food.

Another great point is the owner. He’s super friendly and informative. Even though the place is always packed and hectic, he treats every customer with patience and kindness.

Ayam Bakar Pak Yanto Lokasi yang sangat mudah di jumpai karena berada di trotoar SMP Negri 5 Yogyakarta dan dekat dengan lapangan kridosono tidak sampai 1km membuat ayam bakar ini sangat mudah di jumpai.

Makanan: -Saya pesan ayam bakar dan jeruk anget. -Untuk makanannya berisi Ayam bakar, Nasi, Potongan timun, Kremesan, Sambal dua macam sambal bawang dan sambal terasi. -Untuk ayam bakarnya, ayam nya lembut banget saking lembutnya sampai tulang mudanya mudah bgt lepasnya sangat effortless sekali. Untuk rasanya cenderung kemanis tapi menurut saya bakar ayamnya kurang lama jadi bau dan rasa smoky dari bakaranya tidak terasa. -Untuk kremesanya enak rasanya sangat pas sekali, gurih. -Untuk sambalnya. Sambal terasinya cenderung ke manis-manis gurih tapi rasa terasinya kurang berasa, Sambal bawangnya gruih pedas tapi menurut saya pedasnya kurang nampol. -Untuk porsinya ayamnya gede, sambalnya juga pas porsinya tapi untuk nasinya menurut saya sedikit.

Layanan: -Untuk pelayanannya sangat ramah ramah, telaten, dan sabar sabar sekali dengan banyak nya pembeli. -Untuk makanan dan minumanya datangnya termasuk cepat sekali dengan banyak nya pelanggan yang datang terus menerus. berbarengan dengan datangya makanan dan minuman nanti juga sekalian di kasih tempat untuk mencucui tangan.

Suasana: -Untuk suasananya berada di pinggi jalan raya persis tapi untung nya satu arah jadi nya tidak terllau ramai. -hawanya sangat syahdu dengan vibes angin jogja yang tidak terlalu dingin ditambahn suasananya yang sangat damai membuat makan sangat nyaman sekali walaupun hanya lesehan di trotoar jalan. -Untuk tempat duduknya lumayan banyak, jika tidak kebagian tempat duduk bisa menggelar tiker sendiri.
