Soto is one of famous food for breakfast in Indonesia. You can find different type of Soto in each region. In Jogja, Soto usually comes in clear soup with meat, chiken or beef, and vegetables, cabbage, bean sprout and rice noodle. Warung soto Pak Marto is one of the oldest warung soto in Jogja, the first stall is located in Tamansari region near Kraton Jogja. The soto serves with various side dishes such as satay, iso (cow intestine), babat (cow gaster), lung, and extra meat. The meat uses in here is beef. The price is fair and the taste is great for hearty breakfast with family.

The main and original outlet of the legendary Soto Pak Marto food chain. After many years, I and my wife came back for beef soto soups, a hot tea and an iced lemon. The drinks were fine (5/5), but the soto soup was disappointing (3/5): the taste was savory but the meat chops were tough. Spacious parking lot for motorbikes. Cars park on the road side. Now it has another dining hall at the back with high chairs, carpets, clean toilets and musholla (moslem prayer place). Another minus: no free WiFi.

I love the food, ate Soto Daging Babat and some perkedels. They can serve you with or without rice or even separate the rice. Tasted really good and would definitley come back if I visit Jogja. Unfortunately there's no parking area for cars, there's only for motorbikes. And if you park your car on the street would definitely cause traffic jam. My suggestion, you should go there with public transport or online taxis such Grab or GO Car. By the way they open from 5.30 till 15.00.

Best soto at Yogyakarta!!!! I love the soto babat. And the babat bacem. You should try those.

They serve soto campur and soto pisah. Soto is a veggie cuisine, almost like soup with special taste, because it has different seasoning with soup. Soto pisah give you two bowl: one soto and one rice. Soto campur put the rice in the soto. I think I need to warn you. Rice at soto pisah is more than soto campur. So, if you like me, who do not eat rice too much, it will be better to choose soto campur. If you eat like starving guy, pick soto pisah.

Soto babat is soto with babat inside. Babat is something from cow's belly. I dont know the name lol.

There are another kind of soto. Soto daging, soto with beef inside, and the other, i dont...
