Nice garden but very expensive and unfriendly if you have an issue.

We entered this garden after visiting the Pink Mosque for the nice looks. The menu doesn't have prices on it so I asked. They said 10,000 for a coffee and 10,000 for tea and yeah I should have known it was Toman (so 100,000 Rial). Elsewhere tourist pay like 40,000 to 70,000.

We both got a small cup with nothing else. My 'coffee' was 3-in-1 instant coffee so I asked them to change it to black. The server did not want to do that because I just asked coffee. She didn't ask me if I wanted milk or sugar though and commonly in Iran people serve it black, so that's what I have been expecting. I also didn't expect any issue with returning it as we paid 10T! That's expensive. She server finally changed and then asked 'are...

It is a shame to have the symbol of freedom, a bird, stuck in a cage. We were enjoying the garden before noticing two little birds locked in tiny cages, unable to open their wings. The birds are showing signs of stress while they are locked and the spring is just outside their cage. What a torture. We had to leave not to support this behaviour. We hope the owner will free these...
