We were skeptics when we first got here as it is located at a very touristy part of the bazaar and people are touting all around. But as promised the saffron chicken was decent (though the portions were not as huge as advertised on Google reviews) but on the slightly pricey side at 2.5 million rials (around $5-6 USD) as compared to the average price of a meal in Tehran on the streets which would cost around 1.5 million rials (around $3 USD). Overall, this place is alright but definitely not the most budget friendly. If you are on a tight budget remember to not get the additional dishes or even innocent looking sauces because they charge for everything here in the restaurant. We did not know and thought the yoghurt and green sauce was free so we just took it and ended up paying an additional 1 million ($2 USD) for both sauces.

When I told people that I tried Tahchin with chicken at Shamshiri restaurant, with no hesitation every single one told me that I have to try it at Moslem restaurant at, so since not being sure when willbe the next time I would be in Tehran, decided to give it a shot. Here is a heads up, the line up could be very long but they know what they're doing, there are couple of buildings with multi floors and neomorous rooms for people to sit and eat their food. Tahchin was awesome, delicious and tasty, I couldn't eat more than half of it. It really is too much on a single plate (believe me I can eat a lot on one sitting). Chicken was cooked the best way, it was tender and delicious. One note to anyone who goes there, if you could, tip the servers and specially the old ladys who are cleaning up the dishes, they really work hard.

This place is right in the thick of the Bazaar. We got here just before noon and managed to get seating for three people. Shortly after, there was a line-up curling around the street. Cafeteria style service is really fast though, and the ladies who served us spoke English so ordering was super easy. We liked seeing all the locals eating there, with just a very small spattering of tourists. Seating is really communal and tight though - almost shoulder to shoulder. One portion can easily feed two people. We ordered braised lamb and chicken tahchins and they were huge. I think the problem was that there was a pile of rice under the compressed rice, so it felt like carbo overload. But, it was really, really flavourful. We were in and out in 25 minutes.

Great place to visit. We went there as the hostel manager of the place we were staying at told us to go and try some dishes. The place was packed and the queue was long, but it run quickly and we got to the inside of the restaurant in no time. The place is a real Iranian place, so don't expect things as they normally are in the western world: this is a true Iranian experience. We tried the dish shown in the picture and it was to die for. Ask for the side yoghurt and the dill sauce (kind of a zatziki) and some doogh, a savory milk-yoghurt drink that suits the menu perfectly right. Even though most of the employees can't speak English you will manage to feel comfortable, as they are kind and willing to help. Great choice!

It had been several years since I had visited Muslim restaurant in the Tehran bazaar. They added a beautiful new environment to their collection, which I think they bought an old arcade with its shops and turned it into a restaurant. The atmosphere was very pleasant and beautiful. As always, it was crowded, but the food was ready and delivered in less than 5 minutes. I ordered a special Chinese dish with side dishes, the price of which was around 450 tomans, and they charge added value. In general, considering the price and space, it is definitely worth trying once, but at least I can say that the quality of the food was not comparable to the good memories I had of the taste of the food.

Zero in customer care & service (people are passed through a crowded line, resembling jail's or slaughterhouse's, in every part of which they are given some COMPULSORY tasteless things; you are charged even if you don't take them! Almost all the personnel have unconcerned attitude, if not rude, as if it's your duty to buy from there!) Dirty place and personnel's clothing (NO uniforms), which is a shame for such a BIG restaurant! Totally mediocre in quality! Imagine serving boiled 🍆s as garnish!! High in prices! (Foreign visitors should not compare prices in Iran with those in their homeland.) I Gave it a try! But it isn't worth it!
