این بنا به عنوان دروازه ورودی به میدان مشق که محوطه‌ای نظامی و در اختیار قشون بوده، ساخته شد. چندی پس از ساختن این دروازه، طرح برپایی نخستین باغ همگانی (پارک) شهر تهران (به نام باغ ملی) در زمین‌های درون میدان مشق برنامه‌ریزی و پیاده‌سازی شد و از این رو نام دروازه میدان مشق به سردر باغ ملی دگرگون شد. در مطلبی که در ۱۳ مهرماه ۱۳۰۷شمسی در روزنامه اطلاعات به چاپ رسید آمده‌است: «این اسم، اندک زمانی است به گوش‌ها آشنا شده‌است. پارسال این وقت باغ ملی نداشتیم و خوشبختانه حالا دارای باغ ملی هستیم. باغ در طهران اطراف شهر زیاد است. باغ‌های بزرگ و مصفا و پارک‌های مجلل و آراسته متعدد موجود است، ولی باغی که درواقع تفرجگاه عمومی باشد و شب و روز محل استفاده و تفریح عامه قرار گیرد وجود نداشت. راستی برای طهران مرکز و پایتخت ایران باستانی ناشایسته است و باورنکردنی بود که باغ ملی نداشته باشد درحالی‌که که امروزه در اروپا هر دهکده یک باغ ملی و هر شهر کوچکی چندین باغ ملی و تفرجگاه عمومی دارد. این باغ در قسمت غربی میدان مشق از چندی به این‌طرف رسماً دایر شده و از عصر الی پاسی از شب گذشته، صدها مرد و زن در خیابان‌ها و کنار باغچه‌های پر از گل و ریاحین و ازهار دیده می‌شوند که ایابا و ذهابا قدم می‌زنند و گردش می‌کنند و به تفرج در آن‌جا اشتغال می‌یابند. نمی‌دانم اولیاء بلدیه چه نظریاتی دارند و آیا این باغ ملی را به همین حال می‌گذارند یا اقناع نشده تکمیل خواهند کرد؟» (رک روزنامه اطلاعات- ۱۳ مهرماه ۱۳۰۷ شمسی). با این حال باغ ملی چند سال بیشتر دوام نیاورد و با احداث دو ساختمان شرکت نفت ایران و انگلیس و اداره پست بلدیه در همان سال‌ها، دو پست نگهبانی واقع در قسمت غربی و شرقی سردر تخریب می‌شود و منظره زیبا و منفرد بنای سردر تا حدودی تحت‌تأثیر دو بنای مجاور خود قرار می‌گیرد. همچنین بعدها در محوطه آن، ساختمان‌هایی از جمله ساختمان وزارت امور خارجه ایران، کتابخانه ملی و موزه ایران باستان ساخته شد. اما نام این باغ بر سر دروازه میدان مشق پابرجا ماند و سردر باغ ملی در جایگاه نمادی از معماری آن دوره در یادها باقی ماند.

Inside it, buildings such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, the National Library and the Museum of Ancient Iran have been built. And in parallel to this complex is 30th Tir St, one of the famous Tehran street food.

Sardare Baghe Melli means The Gate of the Public Garden and it is one of the Famous landmarks of Tehran in historical area of the capital. it was built during Qajars and it still has the name of Reza Khan( Next Reza Shah) on it before he establishes the Pahvali Dynasty. You can see different symbols of Iran in that period like soldiers, Cannons, flag and the symbol of lion and sun. There is a Room at top of the gate which has a good view to all the Square. check my pictures that are taken from that room

الحديقة الوطنية او بوابة الحديقة - طهران بالمشي على طول الشارع المزدحم في طهران ، نصل إلى بوابة تاريخية وقديمة من حقبة القاجار ، والتي تُعرف اليوم باسم السير دار باغ ملي وتعتبر من الأماكن التاريخية والمناظر الخلابة في العاصمة. قبل بناء برج الحرية ، كان رأس الحديقة الوطنية يُعرف بالرمز الرئيسي لطهران ، وهي من أهم أجزاء الحديقة الوطنية بطهران ، وهي أقدم من الحديقة نفسها ، وهي بلا شك من أجمل بوابات طهران وحتى إيران التي لا تزال بصحة جيدة،هذه البوابة الجميلة هي واحدة من عوامل الجذب الفريدة التي يجب على الجميع رؤيتها بالتأكيد سوف يندهش كل شخص من الهندسة المعمارية الفريدة والرائعة لهذا الهيكل التاريخي. كانت الحديقة الوطنية موجودة فقط لبضع سنوات عندما تم بناء أماكن أخرى بجوارها مثل متحف إيران القديمة والمكتبة الوطنية ومبنى وزارة الخارجية. اليوم ، لم يبقَ أي أثر لمجال مشاخ العسكري ، ولم يبق سوى المبنى الرئيسي كجوهرة مشرقة وقيمة ، وهذا يفاجئ المارة في المركز التاريخي للعاصمة. إحدى النقاط المثيرة للاهتمام حول هذا الرأس هي أن سلسلة حلبة الدرجة الصفرية ، التي تظهر عصر رضا خان ، تم بناؤها بجوار هذا المكان التاريخي. وصف السائحون ساحة مشاخ بأنها مربعة الزوايا أو مربعة يبلغ ضلعها حوالي 400 متر ، ويعتبرونها من أكبر الساحات العسكرية في طهران. تاريخ الرأس في الحديقة الوطنية وميدان مشاك كما قيل ، كانت ساحة مشاخ مكانًا عسكريًا للتدريبات العسكرية للجيش الإمبراطوري خلال فترة فتح علي شاه. كان اسم هذه المنطقة العسكرية في الأصل عبارة عن مسيرة فرنسية بمعنى المسيرة ، والتي تم تغييرها إلى كلمة Mashakh باللغة الفارسية بمرور الوقت.

Beautiful old lady standing there long time but still charming and cheerful. It stands between super crowded streets in tehran city center and stilly, restful old buildings area with his heavy gates. It was turbulent and noisy field for years with name of “Meidan-e Mashq” which it means open shooting range field. Worth to give a time and visit this area. Be careful that many ministers buildings there and sometimes this area is closed and forbidden to foto-shoot🤷🏼♂️
