My partner and I made an order for delivery this evening. He ordered garlic cheese fries and I got taco fries. Aside from the bacon in his garlic cheese fries being rubbery and tasting closer to sausage meat than bacon, I took a fork full of taco fries and bit down on a pebble. My partner called the restaurant and got through to the manager who displayed extremely poor customer service and sympathy. My partner and I were not and are not seeking any free food etc. from this. We have both worked many years in the food industry and called out of concern. Luckily, I am an adult and I did not swallow or suffer any damages from the pebble that was in my food, but my concern is 1) If proper measures were carried out it would never have been there (food safety, hygiene and quality checks) and 2) This could have easily been in a meal given to a child or an elderly person, which could have caused a hazardous situation such as choking. The manager questioned if my partner was looking for free food to which my partner informed him this was not the case. The manager then said that their establishment uses fresh potatoes so it is indeed possible that a pebble ended up in the food. Again, no sympathy or concern was expressed, rather the manager had a dismissive tone (I was listening to the conversation via speaker phone). My partner confirmed that he just wished the restaurant knew of this incident and that they would be more careful in their food preparation procedures going forward. The manager pushed back in this, saying “people are always looking to make trouble.” It was a horrifying experience to find this item in my food and it was an even worse blow to receive no sympathy or concern from an individual who is responsible for the running of a restaurant which serves members of the public everyday. Truly shocking.

I went to Lennoxs last night and ordered a dinner box batter sausage and chicken and chicken chunks. The battered sausage was small really small the smallest I have ever received. Also after two bits it tasted sour so binned it. The chicken chunks were plain with a hint of chilli. The dinner box was cat. The chicken was 3 thigh pieces and they were small and with very little meat, the chips were nice but greasy and soggy not chrispy at all. I wonder is this jackie Lennox takeaways in Cork. If it was its shocking really poor. Don't think I would go back if I was drunk.

€6.95 for a garlic cheese chips! They didn't ask if I wanted large or regular. Just slapped me with a 'large' which was the smallest portion I've had in a chipper. It was edible but I'll be sticking with Dinos in Ballincollig from now on. I also got onion rings and they were awful, within a minute or two of unwrapping the paper the batter would have chipped a tooth.

Just got my delivery and i have to say was so very disappointed and i can honestly say i will NOT be ordering from here again. I ordered a kabab for my son with no salad, there wasn't even sauce on it and when i was taking the carton out of the bag i honestly thought it was empty, there was NOT a lot of meat either. I ordered a pie supper for my self with large curry sauce, when i opened that carton i couldn't believe my eyes, there wasn't a full bag of chips with the pies and the curry sauce was a small one. I know the cost of living is ridiculous but to cut back on customers is a disgrace after all it's the customers are the ones keeping that business open by giving them there custom. I don't mind paying for what i order but this was...

I have sampled the chips from both McCurtain st. And Ballincollig premises three times each on different days and at different times of the evening and 1 month between visits and one thing is for sure, they are disgusting no matter when you go in. The chips taste like stale cardboard, the portion size where by generous is made up of about 15% over cooked and a strange coloured bits of chips. If this is the best chipper in cork then don't buy chips in cork. The quality of the chips is consistently poor and I get the impression that either they don't change the oil often enough or they are serving refried chips. Look forward to a chipper competition in cork to put this...
