We decided to try Ramen Ballincollig as other establishments in the area wouldn't cater for our dietary requirements. Even though he was really busy the manager took time to go through the menu with us and show us what we could have that was gluten and dairy free. Nothing was too much trouble and he even suggested swapping out cream for coconut milk in some of the dishes. It turned out that he was coeliac himself and his partner had a dairy allergy so he understood fully our predicament in trying to eat out in an area we didn't know. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and my partner had the massaman curry. Both were really delicious and portions so huge we asked for take away containers to take the remainder home with us. The massaman curry was probably one of the nicest we had ever eaten and the vegetables in the curry and sweet and sour were crunchy and obviously freshly made. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Ballincollig as it's nice to find somewhere that took such care and served really good food.

Poor fast food, 12 Euro for dry rice and dry beef in paper pot is dear. Seat on wooden bench and listen to "duc duc duc duc" maybe music, is nothing extra, same like a taste of Ramen Fried Rice eaten by plastic fork... Every Chinese restaurant is much better. So for me no more, thanks

Edit after the business' response: It really proves that this is their head office responding and not the store itself when I DID call them and I DID put in a refund request which they would know as apparently the head office has to be contacted for refund requests, and I DID receive an offer for my order to be rectified from the supervisor on the phone, but sure be sassy and unprofessional and say "but of course it is your right to leave a review instead of allowing us to rectify." I did allow them to rectify it, I just do not want to try a new meal from them when my first time getting food from that specific store was so beyond disappointing and physically inedible.

I ordered the new Korean burger from here this evening and it is genuinely the worst burger I've ever tried to eat. I say tried to eat because the chicken burger was so overcooked that it was as hard as a brick, and it took me firmly tugging on it with my teeth to be able to get a mouthful causing the entire bun and mountain of lettuce to fall apart any time I tried to take a bite. The inside of the burger was extremely dry and brown and stringy as if it had been sitting under a hood for hours before being put in my burger. The Korean aspect of the burger, the kimchi slaw isn't even kimchi slaw and is just regular coleslaw which is completely different, but still probably wouldn't have salvaged the burger. I got three "bites" into the burger before completely giving up on it, and that was only 10 minutes after my order being delivered. It is a complete waste of a 13 euro meal that was supposed to be the main part of my...

I ordered the Beef Rendang, a dish I fell in love with while living in Flores, Indonesia working as a dive instructor. It’s a dry curry with big chunks of beef infused with a paste made from roasted coconut flakes and spices. What I received did not match my expectations at all, more of a wet curry that lacked any real complexity of spice or depth of flavour. This was the main issue but it was also way too salty. I mentioned it to the lady at the point of sale and to be fair she did offer to have it redone for me and that was very kind but I already had a long day and was just exasperated by the whole thing. I got a lime and cut the salt a bit that way but left most of the sauce uneaten. The meat was not chunky and tender as expected for this iconic dish but rather small, quite tough and also kinda hard to find. Again, this dish should have big cubes of beef marinated in Rendang paste for several hours. On the up side, service was prompt, the rice was well cooked and the Heineken 0.0 was ice cold and crisp. Despite a disappointing meal this time I would be happy to give them a second chance based on service and atmosphere alone but I would not order the Rendang again as it simply isn’t a Rendang based upon my personal experience; having cooked the meal myself from scratch. Had it not been for the very pleasant nature of the lady serving me this may have been a more severe appraisal. It has a lively atmosphere too so they are definitely getting other things right. Then again, maybe I’m just wrong to expect an authentic Indonesian meal, in a little village, in the...

I enjoy their food so have rated them three stars as I often frequent their Dennehy's cross store however their Ballincollig store in praticular I have had a couple of issues with..

The worst of which was when they opened first in Ballincollig my husband and I collected an order for takeaway and we paid card. We realized whilst waiting for the food that we had been charged circa €25 for the food which was correct...plus an additional charge of €10 cash back had been added on, when we called the guy back and said it to him he just casually glanced at the receipt half apologiesed so as not to draw attention and handed us a €10 note from the till...I know from working in services you don't accidentally add on cash back...

I have come with my mom and sister on another occasion and as my sister is 11 and wasn't hungry enough for a full portion my mom and I both ordered a main and shared our orders with her - only for a lady working there to contentiously throw us dirty looks and eventually she came down to our table when we were eating to ask me quite rudely if I was going to order anything to eat for myself as we had taken up a table for 4 and if there was only two eating could we move to one of the shared benches...

Less sinister then the above but still annoying is I have preordered food and called in to collect 15 minutes later only to have to wait another 20 minutes on arrival - this however is down to how busy they are which is...
