My partner and I went here for lunch at around 12:45 on a Saturday. After ordering, our drinks arrived quickly, but we ended up waiting over an hour (!!!) for our food to arrive. Despite trying to get the attention of the staff, no one came over to check in or offer an update during our wait. Eventually, I had to go up to the counter myself to ask when our food would be ready.

When the food finally arrived, one dish was incorrect, and the fries in the other were undercooked. We let the staff know and they apologised, and we were not charged for the meal. While we appreciated that gesture, by then we were hungry, disappointed, and honestly shocked by the poor level of service. Note that we were not alone in this- the table who ordered right before us and also the table next to us had an hour long wait.

This was our third attempt to eat here, because the place looks interesting and the menu is very tempting, but the first two times they were either full or had sold out. Based on this experience, we won’t be returning. This is a shame because we love supporting smaller local businesses and we do root for their success, but this experience left us extremely...

I wish I could tell you about the food but unfortunately the service was so bad I cant. We arrived at the weekend and were told the only seats are outside but we are free to take one, weather was nice so no problem. We spend about 15 minutes looking at the menu and then go to the counter to order. We had two people ask us if we are ok, and when we said we would like to order they walked away. Eventually a 3rd person came back and said they would check then said "it will be 10-15 minutes before we can take you order" and would not let us order food. We waited and after about 5 minutes we noticed a table beside us went in and ordered with no issues as they had a buzzer for their order. We went back in after 15 minutes to see a queue of about 4 other people now that we were behind. When we got to the front we were told it would be minimum 45 minutes for our food to come out.

Really, really bad service here, expecting people to wait over an hour for food is just not on, as well as telling people they cant order but happily taking the orders from other tables?? We left and went elsewhere to a place that seemed happy to take our business and we...

I had lunch a midweek lunch arriving around 12.20, before the main lunch rush. I ordered a reuben sandwich. It took about 25mins to come out which left me under pressure for time. The sandwich was lovely but it was a long wait. The chips on the side were too oily for me and had to ask for ketchup though the sauce was lovely and tasted homemade. I went here in the first place as they posted on their socials about a special sandwich that was running for the month. They didn't know anything about it when i arrived however which was disappointing. The ventilation inside isn't great, the kitchen opens right onto the dining area and i could smell the kitchen on my clothes when i went back to work. The atmosphere was nice and there was nice art on the walls and good music playing. Overall i liked my lunch but still left feeling i wouldn't be...

I visited Paperboys and was really let down by the experience. The chicken burger I ordered tasted and smelled off, was also mainly batter(10% chicken) — it genuinely seemed like it had gone bad. Unfortunately, no member of staff checked in with us at any point after we placed our order, even though we waited around 40 minutes for anyone to check in. To note there was only one other patron there at the time. When I went to pay, the staff member was kind but clearly unsure how to handle a complaint. I was even asked to elaborate on how the chicken ā€œtasted and smelled bad,ā€ which felt uncomfortable and unhelpful. I ended up paying full price for a burger I couldn’t eat. Overall, the visit was very disappointing — poor food quality, lack of service, and no resolution offered. I used to love the place but I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Truly the best breakfast I’ve had in Ireland - honestly maybe ever? At first I was bummed because I wanted the chicken & waffle I saw on the menu pictured here (it was dated, though). I thought about skipping to eat somewhere else but one of the staff said they instead do fried chicken & French toast so I had to try it. It’s absolutely INCREDIBLE. The French toast is almost like a kouign-amann or croissant bun and the fried chicken is the absolute best I’ve ever had. Wild that that’s true of Ireland :) The chicken was perfectly spicy, perfectly cooked, and stayed crunchy but juicy the entire meal. Blown away. I also got an iced dirty chia and it was really good. I find the seating a bit uncomfortable but manageable (even as a large person). Highly recommend - must try.

This place was AMAZING. The food was sooo good, we got the fried buttermilk chicken with fries and the French toast. It was savory, crunchy and was seasoned perfectly. I ate in the little garden there is behind, it was a lovely place with a great atmosphere. The service was really nice, the food took a little long to come out, but it’s understandable since they were packed. I will be definitely coming back!
