Late breakfast (10:45). Porridge with honey and banana, orange juice (which was fresh) and americano coffee. Followed by the lite American breakfast with bacon and black pudding.

Okay here goes. COFFEE - Strong with a rich aroma. JUICE - Freshly squeezed. Very zingy. PORRIDGE - It was hot, rich, creamy oats with the sweetness of honey and banana. Overall 9.5 out of 10. Only issue. A bit more honey or a small portion on the side.

LITE AMERICAN - be warned!! Don't have the Porridge before this scrumptious plate of deliciousness. Its fare to say I enjoy good food, however this dish is worth having with the coffee and juice by themselves. EGG - poached to near perfection BACON - Smoked, sweet and tender. Note I said tender, as I know, having had breakfasts in other establishments, bacon can be over cooked and over smoked. BLACK PUDDING - it's not clonakilty pudding. IT'S BETTER!! BREAD AND BUTTER - Crisp and the butter was slightly salted. In other words perfect. Overall 9.25 out of 10. Only issue. The plate the breakfast was served on was cold, which in turn led to the food becoming cooler quickly.

Would I come here again. YES Would I have the same again. NO

Reasons - porridge and fried breakfast was too much for me, however I will have them...

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Liberty Grill in Cork City, and it was an experience worth raving about. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance, creating a cozy yet chic environment that invites you to relax and savor your meal.

The staff at Liberty Grill were exceptionally lovely, offering warm and attentive service that made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. Their friendliness and professionalism truly enhanced my dining experience.

Now, onto the highlight of my visit – the food. I indulged in an Omelette Florentine with a side of Mushrooms, and every bite was absolutely amazing. The omelette was perfectly cooked, with a delightful balance of fresh spinach and creamy hollandaise, while the mushrooms were deliciously sautéed to perfection.

To complement my meal, I ordered a Dirty Chai Latte, which was simply wonderful. The rich, spiced flavors of the chai paired beautifully with the robust espresso, making it a perfect morning pick-me-up.

Overall, my breakfast at Liberty Grill was nothing short of exceptional. If you’re in Cork City and looking for a fantastic place to enjoy a meal, I highly recommend stopping by Liberty Grill. You won't be...

So disappointed with our visit here today especially as we had so enjoyed it on our previous visit. One of our guests asked for just one fried egg as she really hated poached eggs. Was told no!! They did not do fried eggs but no apology or no alternative. We reserved for 12 noon but didn’t order until at least 12.15. I was surprised that the menu was so restricted and remarked how on our previous visit the menu was much more extensive (expansive) but no alternative was suggested. In the then limited ( breakfast) menu presented.. I very unfortunately chose pancakes!!! What a disaster… they were like something you would get in a discount store… dry and rubbery and the bacon slices ( €3.00 extra) were hard and brittle!!! I am so disappointed because since our previous visit we had wholeheartedly and many times recommended Liberty Grill!! When I told the server that the pancakes were awful I got only a cursory “oh sorry” but nothing else. Very very disappointed but also embarrassed on front...

Pains me to give such a poor review but I was just standing in the cold rain for 20 minutes, hopeful they would eventually open. Lights were lights as cooks prepping for the day. Then a woman appeared to view, methodically counted her till, hope. She saw me but avoided eye contact. Some simple gesture like 5 or 10 fingers would have been respectful as I shivered in the wind and rain. At 8:20am I finally left (their posted hours in photo). The saddest part is that these same events played out a few months earlier, and I was giving them a second chance on this occasion, but maybe not as cold. Their food is locally sourced, well prepared, and overpriced for what it is, but I still wanted to support their ethos. But their customer service is abysmal, even on a good day. Never again, they just lost a local customer, not sustainable.

Fantastic dinner! Well plated and a good set of flavors in the entree. Had the pan baked cod, and it was delicious, but the first half of the fillet was riddled with fish bones. I took a big bite at one point and pulled out 6 bones, which caused me to focus more on being cautious with each bite than how wonderful all the flavors were together. Overall a very tasty entree. My husband had the West Cork Beefburger and said that it was good, but the beef was overdone. For the fish bones and overdone meat, I have to rate this as 4 stars, otherwise it would've been five. Also, the fist night we tried to eat there, they weren't accepting anymore people. We lucked out when we went there the next night and a family was just leaving. I highly recommend getting a reservation or showing up before 630pm.
