Thai Ann — Restaurant in County Donegal

We were visiting Donegal on Christmas day and absolutely no restaurant was open. We did prepare ourselves ahead of time with a few snacks but were desperately craving a warm meal. Thai Ann was shut that day just like everything in town. We spoke to the wonderful lady at the restaurant and she went out of her way and opened up the kitchen to make the best thai green curry and chicken fried rice ever! I love when I take a chance and it works out. The outside of the building is run down and doesnt inspire much confidence and once you step inside the door its not much better looking either... However, the woman behind the counter is very sweet, attentive and respectful. Its a take away but also have a limited number of seats and I chose to sit in. While visiting Donegal Town this week I called in to Thai Ann because I knew of their previous reputation as purveyors of great Thai food. I wasn't disappointed. The Chou Mein was delicious.
