A strange little place ... That caused an argument between wifey and hubby. I said it's a cafe but wifey argued that it was a bakery. Sadly it lies somewhere in-between, not fully invested in either idea. It's a bakery but only offers sourdough and pizza bases. It's a cafe but only offers coffee and scones. But don't get me wrong both Wifey and Hubby love it. Though hubby feels it's a missed opportunity, it only provides a very small menu. Hubby feels that this place is too out of the way and needs to get the word and itself more out there. When we spoke with the owner, we were shocked to know it's been open for 6 years, then he further admitted that he doesn't do much on Facebook. Such a friendly gentleman, with a humble and honest quality about him.

The sourdough is fantastic. Excellent toasted crust with a soft airy texture. The taste is great with the butter and artisanal jams. But much better with just butter alone. There's also a lot to be said for the scones, also nice and fluffy inside while having a nice crispy crust. Perhaps the nicest scone I've had in a long time. Again the same butter and artisanal jam makes it a treat, the only thing missing, there was no cream.

And the coffee here is fantastic. Very deep and rich and aromatic. Perhaps one of the best coffees in Westport. However they serve from disposable takeaway cups, no crockery at all in sight. Which is such a shame, as a place that serves such great coffee should serve it from decent porcelain or ceramic.

This place is fantastic. A little bit out of the way but wifey and hubby highly recommend. The menu is very limited, but very tasty. And I think that's perhaps the biggest shame here. We will definitely be back, we just wish there was more to offer. The price here is very reasonable. You can get a serious amount of eating for two for 20 euros. If this place set themselves up as a greenway cafe. They would be well placed. Requiring a little bit of effort to redirect traffic, putting up signs to attract passing trade and let people know. Oh and a bike rack would not...

Can't recommend it highly enough. Such a a warm, bright and friendly place with excellent food. Very spacious, perfect whether you want a quiet corner with a read and a coffee or a delicious family lunch. A succinct menu reduces the difficulty of deciding what to have as I would have been happier with any of the choices! The bread is top class and baked in situ and available to purchase. The food is a perfect combination of taste, quality and locally sourced ingredients, will definitely...

Loved it so much we went back the next day. Recently holidayed in the area and had the bakery recommended to us by friends. The coffee was excellent as was the service. We loved ALLLL of the treats we tried over the two visits I think we had one of everything available. The cinnamon rolls especially wowed us. Thanks so much!

Just wow. The bread is incredible, the cinnamon rolls were the best I've ever had (even though I've lived in Scandinavia), the coffee was great and the staff was so nice. I would highly recommend going here when visiting Westport.
