Apache Pizza Westport — Restaurant in County Mayo

This is the fast food place of Westport. After trying a few other fastfood, takeaway style, places in Westport this is the top one. Predominantly speaking of places that you order and take away. In our case we actually sat in, being able to sit in and eat while the food is piping already sets this well above the competition. While others are not bad, this is leaps and bounds over them. The only problem is finding parking, which is a small town problem, but if you can I highly recommend sitting in Of course best known for its pizza, you would be surprised at the range of other dishes they cater. And you'd be surprised at how quickly they can serve a pizza. Within roughly 8 minutes from order, our Pizza was delivered to our table piping hot. Around 17 minutes from ordering the rest of the food arrived. Smart as it breaks up the waiting time and keeps the customer happy. The only criticism I had, was we placed a drink order, which should have arrived with the pizza. Little minor error which is easily solved by asking for it. But something to think of. The Pizza was a bacon Apache thin crust with half pineapple. The man even brought it down to our table. He was nice and friendly. We also tried the spice box and taco fries. The spice box was too spicy for me, and beat my spicy wifey as well. Though having tried a few bites the chicken pieces were tender and moist. The taco fries are the 2nd best I have ever had from fastfood takeaway, only beaten by Supermacs version. Mainly because they use the fake pre-grated cheese and not real cheddar. The strawberry milkshake was very good I am told. As wifey loved it. This is a very good little place, run really efficiently with excellent quality food. Tried to order online after choosing my food and food for two children the app tells me it can't be delivered to this address, so I then call the restaurant because it's only around the corner and figured it was a mistake only to be greeted by the worst customer service iv ever had anywhere!! The man tried to tell me how to use the app to which I responded that the app must not be working properly because it had the address after him again telling me how to use an Eircode I asked if I could order on the phone, I explained my very simple order 3 times and began to become frustrated when he kept repeating the wrong order back to me, he then became thick at me and asked why I was taking a tone with him and when I explained that I was frustrated because he clearly wasn't listening to what I was asking for and before I could finish my point he HUNG UP!! After I called back to ask for the manager to make a complaint he claimed he was the manager named Apaulie or something sounding like this , refused to give me his last name or spell his first name so I was sure whom I was speaking to, then told me they couldn't deliver to my address even though I hadn't given him my address and then said oh it will take an hour to deliver. This had to be the most rude encounter iv ever had with someone who is supposed to be a manager of all things!! I was appalled to witness two members of staff in the Apache uniform not wearing masks in the local SuperValu. Not just that but it was clear the girl behind the counter was uncomfortable in their presence.For this reason I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone I meet . The girl was visibly upset and after talking to her learned that she had a very vulnerable family member. Unfortunately I didn’t catch their names but this behavior is simply unacceptable especially in these times. Please talk to your staff to make sure that this does not happen again . We need to respect everyone and those two men showed no respect towards the staff in another local establishment (whose staff are always so friendly and attentive unlike yours).
