I'm really glad to have Foam as a local diner in our Terenure village as their food is extremely tasty. I don't go often in Foam as it's super popular during lunch time. I managed to go there recently a couple of times a little bit earlier and that allowed me to find a seat. It also allowed me to be reminded of how good their food is. 2 plates particularly stand out for me: their generous pancackes (which I recommend to order with extra syrup if like me you like things that are sweet) and their Full Irish breakfast, which to me is hands down the best I had in Ireland. Their bacon may not seem much but it turns out to be just the right amount. It's cooked to perfection and is an explosion of flavor. Their sausages are among the best if not the best I have ever had in Ireland. This time they prepared mushrooms and tomato with a twist that surprised me and I found very interesting. Their cookie was also very good. Thinking about the place: it is very lively, full of families with small kids. 1 thing that I don't particularly like is that the door gets opened (and often remains opened) very often. So if it's cold outside it's hardly pleasant inside. But that's also a ring that is common to many other diners in the area.

Foam Coffeehouse is a place that, at first glance, promises a pleasant experience with its cozy décor and inviting atmosphere. But unfortunately, what lies behind the polished exterior is a café that struggles to deliver where it matters most: the food. Despite serving a fantastic cup of coffee, the overall dining experience falters due to poorly presented dishes and a clear lack of taste. The first sign of trouble comes when the food hits the table. The dish presentations feel careless, as though they were rushed out of the kitchen without a second thought. The plates lack the attention to detail that even casual cafés should strive for. Instead of looking appetizing, the meals appeared slapped together. The eggs Benedict lacked finesse—overcooked eggs with hollandaise sauce pooling unattractively around them, making the plate look sloppy rather than refined. My Egg Shashuksha was served with the bread inside... You tell me who eats soggy bread... However, the only redeeming factor of our visit was the coffee. Rich, aromatic, and brewed to perfection, the coffee stood in stark contrast to the rest of the meal. If you’re just looking for a well-crafted espresso or a velvety cappuccino, Foam Coffeehouse delivers.

Terrible experience from start to finish. The food was awful. the hash was swimming in oil, my sandwich was soggy, and the egg was burnt. The service was just as bad. No one greeted us when we arrived, we had to go up to the till just to get menus. Both waitresses were rude and dismissive. One slammed water on the table without saying a word. When we went up to order, we were met with a blunt, “What do you want?” no manners or professionalism at all. On top of that, we had to go back up again just to get our own knives and forks. The table was sticky, and the glasses were dirty. It felt like they didn’t care about the food, the service, or the customers. Easily one of the worst places I’ve been. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Avoid!!!! Just left and we are shocked and extremely disappointed at the rudeness of the Foam staff and management. First of all the “Brioche” French toast was not brioche bread, it was standard sliced pan dripping in grease. One meal completely untouched and no staff member asked why. Worst of all is the outrageous treatment by staff and management. After having brunch and coffees, my friend went to the till and paid the bill as a surprise treat while I was at the loo - without being asked to pay by staff (food still sitting in-front of us). Throughout the duration of our meal (one hour) no Foam staff came near us to ask (a) if we were happy with everything or (b) if we wanted another coffee - which we would have liked and tried on a number of occasions to make eye contact to order more coffees. The waitress was the rudest person we’ve possible ever encountered in a restaurant in this country, approached us telling us we needed to leave the table as we’ve been here “ages” and we paid the bill 15 minutes ago! She abruptly cleared the table telling us the maximum timeframe for sitting was one hour! Nobody told us this on arrival or during our meal and no signage anywhere to this affect can be seen. (There were many tables free.) We were shocked and she rudely advised if we had a problem she would get the manager. The manager then came over and reiterated what the waitress said, telling us there is an hour sitting per table during Xmas and there’s a Q outside. There was no Q inside or outside and spare tables available. I told him the waitress was so rude we are shaking with shock and he said “don’t put that on me” you paid your bill 15 minutes ago so we thought you were going. Today is the 3rd of January, Xmas is over and there is no Q which doesn’t surprise me following our experience! Locals who will NOT be back and will share our experiences with other locals. Utter...

Not very friendly staff ignorant and stuck up. Had half a cup of tea left, went to bathroom came out, never asked took it up. I never give bad reviews can check my record, if I don't like I don't review.

''Response from the owner22 hours ago So..... OPTION A; Upon returning from a toilet break to realise your tea had been taken by mistake, inform a member of staff and have it replaced with an apology. Mistakes like this can happen. OPTION B; Say nothing. Go home and get on google to leave a 1 Star review. Really? Check our reviews. Our staff are neither ignorant nor stuck up. 🚽- ☕️ = ☹️''

Reply to your reply

Firstly thank you sincerely for reply and admittance I was right, Now A: I asked, was their and where was the bathroom. B: Knowing I was in bathroom, they removed a half cup of tea and half a pot of tea, is that common mistake, for waitress to do. C: I was made feel as welcome as a fly in a soup, and your seemingly innocent request, go back and give them allowance to apologise. When I am treated ignorantly and not made not welcome, I have more self respect for myself, and stick the price of the tea where the sun don't shine, an insincere presuming apology, not welcome. Your rudeness speaks volumes, presuming I have nothing better to do, than give a bad score. 35 reviews 34 good reviews and better, your review only bad one, I let people judge...
