Been on holiday 2 weeks hands down worst meal and service. Probably one of the worst meals of my life even. Got the “stew” it was a very watery cold soup with 0 Guinness taste bread was extremely dry and stale it was rock hard. Two menus on the table both with different prices. We asked for water server brings us a 3€ 330ml bottle and then the table next to use asks for a water and the same server asked them tap or bottled. Maybe our fault somehow for the water but the menu says 500ml bottle which they served one half the size. I would avoid at all cost just a tourist trap for people at the Guinness factory. What we ordered was a signature dish the menu says so I would hate to see what anything else is like. Also ate the whole thing because we were so hungry and am about to look at a new restaurant to go to as we’re both so hungry. Complained and got told the Irish stew with Guinness gravy is not a Guinness stew and was told yes it is weird the menus have two different prices and that’s not right but then all we got was this lousy response from...

Located between the Kilmainham Gaol and the Guinness Storehouse, great for lunch!

We couldn't really tell if it was a local place or a tourist trap, but it only has 6 tables or so upstairs in their restaurant area, and since we were lucky enough to grab a seat, we stayed and enjoyed ourselves some absolutely delicious fried food. This was our first fish and chips of the trip and it was fantastic!! The garlic mayo (better known as "aioli" in the states) is a must have with french fries. We did not particularly like the "cheese sauce" so thankfully it was on the side and we got to try it first before ordering another meal with cheese sauce all over it.

When we first walked into Harkins we went through the downstairs entrance which is basic bar/pub. The waitress kindly told us to head up to the second floor for food. Their signature color is lavender, and on the TV was 90s music and random trivia. If we had saved room for dessert, we probably would have gotten a shake or ice cream too.

I recently dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the brilliant service and inviting atmosphere. From the moment I stepped through the door, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and an eagerness to make my evening unforgettable. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and every detail, was handled with genuine care.

The atmosphere perfectly complemented the exceptional service. The restaurant boasts a sophisticated yet cozy décor, with soft lighting that creates an intimate setting and tasteful music that enhances the dining experience without overpowering conversation. Every element of the space, from the elegant table settings to the ambient background, worked harmoniously to create a relaxed and memorable evening.

Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking not just a meal, but...

The Bees Knees of pubs to get Guiness from without going into the Guiness brewery. The best you'll get outside the brewery. The whole pub is guiness liveried outside. Two taps of guiness on and plenty of other Irish lagers, ciders, stouts and ales to try. Sadly only managed to do about 30-40 mins here before we had to leave for our flight home. Next time will stay longer and try the Irish lager and ale! Service was good and bar staff freindly.

Decent local bar - the nearest bar to the entrance to the Guinness Storehouse museum. This place is also known as The Harbour Bar which might sound strange but there was a canal basin right across the road behind the old stone building- a canal that was used to ship Guinness from the brewery. This was also the last pub where the legendary Irish writer Brendan Behan had his last drink before he died in 1964. Decent Guinness for €5.50.
