I am visiting Dublin from Alberta, making this my first time visiting The Savoy. I really wish that there was a place like this in Calgary. I grabbed some chicken tenders and chips. The chicken was juicy and very flavourful. The chips (fries) are amazing. I lost a few pieces of chicken and plenty of chips to my wife and kid. It turned out that they were not hungry until I walked back into the room with food that smelled amazing.
I can't speak to the price as I have not hit up any other place and have no reference. What I can say is that I feel that definitely got what I paid for.
The staff was also really nice. I do get the feeling that they are not really used to talkative Canadian trying to chat to them, but they were cool either way. LOL

This chipper has been here for 30 odd years I'd say if not more.
Used to be the go to place, slightly higher prices but the quality was tops.
Nowadays it's just really bad. The food is awful, the delivery time takes an age and it's just not worth it.
So many other spots that are better in the area.
Got a fish box that each portion was the size of your baby finger and 98% undercooked batter.
The chips were ok but everything felt undercooked.
Would love for them to go back to how they used to but won't be getting...

Then this is definitely the place for you! I recently had the “pleasure” of indulging in a quarter pounder that must have been frozen in the Arctic, only to be thrown on the heat for a few minutes . The "plastic cheese" melted on top was a highlight if you enjoy a cheese-like substance that might just be an experiment gone wrong, you're in for a treat!
