I happened upon this delightful little cafe and I am so glad I did. I was in genuine need of a sit down, coffee and a glass of water. I won't lie....I also needed the loo! The next half an hour of my life was blissful and very ably aided by the full version of Stairway To Heaven playing at a 'cafe vibe' level, in the background. The warm welcome didn't go unnoticed and although when I entered I only asked for a coffee, it turns out that was probably just the need for a water closet, talking. The facilities were immaculate and on my return my coffee was waiting for me and, without being requested, a bottle of tap water and a glass, also appeared. Perfect. Now that I was at ease, I looked at the menu....you know, just in case? There were several favourites on there and having had the first sip of my coffee, which was quite honestly, sublime, I thought this should become an experience, rather than an incidental stop off. I ordered my food and, well, it vindicated my decision to stay. Without exaggeration, it was delicious and, gently washed down with my second coffee. This opportunity taken soon became the highlight of my day, which, up until then, had been hectic, tiring and monotonous. Thankyou, Social Fabric Cafe, for encouraging me to stop and smell the flowers. You really have...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – A vibrant, welcoming café with heart and soul

Social Fabric is more than just a coffee spot—it’s a place that truly reflects the spirit of community and inclusivity. Even though it can get quite busy (and that says something about how loved it is!), the team consistently does their best to keep things grounded, local, and real. You feel it in the way the staff greet you, the way the food is prepared, and the conversations you overhear—there’s a real sense of connection here.

💛 What stands out most: This café isn’t trying to be trendy for the sake of it—it’s genuine. From their support for diversity and social inclusion to the friendly mix of regulars and newcomers, it’s a space where everyone feels welcome, regardless of background, identity, or coffee order.

☕️ The coffee is great, the food is honest and nourishing, and even on the busiest days, there’s a kind of calm in the chaos. It’s clear the people behind this café care deeply—not just about business, but about community.

🎯 In short: If you're looking for a café in Dublin that serves more than coffee—a place where people, stories, and values come together—Social Fabric is it. A real gem that deserves all the...

The food at this café is truly excellent — very flavorful, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. I’ve been here several times and have always been well attended to by the staff, who are polite and attentive. I would give a 10 out of 10 for the quality of the food and service.

However, on more than one occasion, I witnessed an uncomfortable situation involving a woman with short hair — possibly the manager — treating floor staff rudely and even shouting at them in front of customers. As a customer, I found this behavior highly inappropriate. It makes me wonder what the work environment is like behind the scenes if this happens so openly.

This café is wonderful thanks to the dedicated work of the entire team: talented chefs, attentive servers, and skilled baristas. I believe every staff member deserves respect and appreciation. This kind of management behavior makes me question whether I should continue supporting the place with my money.

I still recommend the café for its food and service, but I leave this review in hopes that the work environment will also be valued with respect and...

A hidden jem. We always like to go off the beaten track when visiting anywhere and as a result often find places other visitors are less likely to spot. Social Fabric Cafe is exactly one of those jewels. We went out for breakfast and after walking for 10 or 15 minutes down side streets we made our way inside. It is not a big place, but bright clean, busy, but yet still very welcoming. After being seated our order was taking quite quickly with coffee and tea delivered swiftly. I had a large breakfast and my wife had the Eggs Benedict. Again we didnt have to wait that long, but we were enjoying the buzz of the place, which was filled mainly with local people. The service was fantastic. The food was delicious and it is the best cooked breakfast I have had for a long time. All of the food was locally sourced, brilliantly cooked with amazing flavour. The black pudding was light and tasty and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection! Thank you guys for such a lovely welcome and a fantastic breakfast. You may have to wait to get a seat, but it is well worth the wait.

Arrived here with my partner on a Saturday morning but with a wait time of over an hour we decided to book a table for Sunday morning instead. Whilst busy, tables are well spaced out and all staff were wearing masks, correctly. The food. We both had brunch, my partner having the SocialFry which was a decent mix of the usual fry up items, although not exactly as you might know it. The black and white pudding was the star in my eyes. I myself had eggs on toast with a side of bacon and black pudding. Each dish also having some tasty relish on the side. With feeling so happy and content after our breakfasts, we decided to stay a little longer and have a tea and a hot chocolate, just so we could soak in the nice environment a little longer. While Social Fabric could be classed as just another hipster "woke era" cafe that doesn't sell CocaCola or Pepsi on principle, it's not (just?) that. Its a buzzing restaurant /cafe that serves great food and deserves your attention! Try it.

I visited Social Fabric Cafe on Friday and decided to try their brunch after an early morning flight do Dublin. I went for a free range Eggs Benedict with slowly cooked (locally sourced) pork, avocado and homemade hollandaise and cres. I cannot find words to describe how delicious and filling this dish was, beautifully executed and presented. I also had 2 cups of delicious, smooth and delicate latte. I could see fresh homemade cakes, shame I could have any as on restricted diet at present. I visited quite early and sat there for around one hour and I witnessed how place was filling in quickly with people. Service was very friendly and attentive. I loved the interiors, modern handmade tables and pictures inspired by Irish landscapes. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. Will come back at the nearest opportunity.
