From the flip of a coin we ate here over TGI Friday's on Sunday the 11th, at 19:15-ish (oops). We were waiting outside for 20 minutes until they made a booth available. I'd say +10 minutes of those were due to about 5 staff members circled around the till. Doesn't anyone know what they're doing in there?! When we were seated it took about 10 minutes for the waitress to take our order. We ordered cheesy nachos, cheesy and garlic fries, and finally two burgers. Admittedly, the food arrived within a reasonable time. The waitress seemed a bit lost as she walked past my table, said "Oh," then returned; mistakes happen, but we got the impression none of the customer-facing staff knew or cared what they were doing.
Aside from the burgers, which are always nice, albeit small, the food wasn't great and definitely not worth the price. The cheesy nachos were criminal: they looked like they were stolen from them rotten Tesco salted tortilla chips that cost about 10c. They had a paltry amount of cheese. The portion of fries were scabby and had plastic cheese grated on top that didn't even melt after +5 minutes.
We did want to get desserts but decided against as we knew we'd be waiting an eternity. The 2 closest booths to ourselves had to remind the servers of their desserts. We finished our drinks which took +10 minutes and none of the servers took our plates and asked if we wanted any desserts. We stacked the plates and put them to the side so it'd be easier for them to remove 'em. Still nothing, even with that.
The family next to us left their table while the queue outside was growing. It was then made clear why waiting to be seated was an age: the 3 staff members cleaned the table at a snail's pace. I don't even know what the guy with the mask and brush was doing as he just stood there watching the women 'clean' the table. What's ironic is that our booth wasn't acceptably clean. There were crumbs and stains everywhere with sticky seats to boot. I had to clean it myself when I arrived, which I don't mind when self-service is expected.
Overall, atrocious service and a mediocre food package. I'll likely never return here...
Read moreWent by myself first time post lockdown. Eddies has changed their menu (again) and removed some of my favorites like the itzy nachos and the sliders, which was disappointing. Prices also went up since covid pandemic, and it doesnt feel like the same amount of food. Ordered the southern fried chicken burger combo and it was tasty but felt like it was 2 gujons slapped in a bun with the toppings (instead of a full chicken breast), which meant that part of the way through there was no chicken left, just the veg. For 10 euro for a burger I hope that each bite would have the chicken. (I could go next door to Burger king and get a meal for nearly same price and have chicken in every bite). A combo meal at Eddies is now about 16 Euro (used to be about 12).
Service wise, promptly seated but waited a bit for service (got walked past by servers at least 3 times in 10 minutes and it wasn't busy) and they clearly have some new people (manager may have been training which is fine). Lovely waitress took order and then brought card payment machine immediately to pay before I had gotten food or drink to table (which confused me because the bottom of the order ticket said to pay at the cashier on the way out and gave me no chance to tip for service -- as yet no service had been received - waitress missed out there as I always tip!). Not sure if that is the new process or what - but it did mean I only saw the waitress to take my order, my payment and then give me my food. No one came by to check to see how it tasted, if I wanted dessert, or needed anything else. For the price, again, I hope that someone would at least check in (and because when I ordered I mentioned that I would likely want a dessert but would see how full I was so please come back).
When finished with burger, and after waiting an awkward few minutes, then seeing an unwelcoming sign on the wall that says "friends, please eat and then leave" I felt like well ok, they don't want my extra money (5 euro for a brownie dessert) and left. This wasn't my worst dining experience ever but it was certainly leaving much...
Read moreI'm not one to complain however after todays food I feel the need to, to say it was unacceptable is an understatement, I have been a big fan of the franchise for so many years, but not sure if I will be going forward,
Myself and my wife and 8 your old twins was at one of your franchise paid almost 90 euros for food that we couldn't eat the burger had nothing on them or very little and looked as if someone had sat on them, food was full of grease as was the chips , bacon and cheese fries has no bacon, when up to pay was asked if everything was OK, which I explained it wasn't and to have a look at our table to see what was left, sorry to hear that followed by that's 88 euros please??, we go every weekend to Eddie's but after our visit to the below 1 today , Unit 311 Blanchardstown Shopping Centre not sure that will be the case , i assumed that your quietly of food is ment to be the same in all your stores as is your customer service?? Last week we were at home and went to our carlow one, we were sitting there for 25 minutes waiting for someone to take our order, wasnt 15 people there I was waving at them to women got up.and left, obe of your staff just gave me dirty looks, came done slammed our fork and things on the tabke and walked off, and that's the way it was for the hour we were there, For what you charge for your food this isn't good enough, 2 stores in 2 weekends, € 150 , who is looking after this, who is doing your QC and CS checks do you tell them your coming or do you send them in as a customer, which ever way its failing, maybe give them my number and I can explain my disappointment and some...
