Fabulous old pub in the village if Malahide to the North of Dublin. To be found in new street, now pedestrianised, the pub has a long tradition of looking after locals and tourists alike. There is a fantastic pint of Guinness to have here and plenty of good wine and beer for those with different tastes. They also offer a reasonable food menu with a couple of nice steaks, cod & chips, bangers & mash plus others to whet the appetite. There are a number of areas to the pub with regular live music in the back and a sun trap walled beer garden. This is definitely one of my favourite places to go In Malahide.

It’s hard to pass by this restaurant in the heart of Malahide without being drawn in by its iconic entrance. We visited on a weekend, choosing to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. We ordered chicken, which came with a generous portion of mashed potatoes, nicely-done fries, and some beers. The interior looked spacious and seemed to fill up quickly at night. The service was decent, smoking wasn’t allowed, even in the outdoor seating area whicb was a good thing to me while having lunch.Overall, we had a great time enjoying our lunch, taking a break, and people-watching along the street.

We came here for a light lunch and drinks after we toured the Malahide Castle. This is the first spot I had a Passion Fruit Martini and it was soooo refreshing! My friends got a spritz that they enjoyed. I asked for a side caesar salad but it came out with cucumbers, peppers, and some greens with no dressing and cole slaw - i think they gave me a house salad, though it was still very bland. Others at the table got the club and chicken fingers. Chicken fingers were great as well as their ranch dressing. It's walking distance to the castle and the marina!

Popped in for lunch, just wings and loaded fries but had to repeat the order a few times before it was placed correctly. When it arrived, it was plain fries which were taken back. But when returned (I believe) the same plate of chips returned, they were loaded with some random sauce, undercooked bacon and some cheese but obviously microwaved to melt the cheese. Microwaved reheated chips? Awful. Didn't eat them. Wings were fine. TVs everywhere, all on playing a different sport each and couldn't see anyone watching. Really poor atmosphere because of that.

Lovely pub in Malahide.bewn there a few times with friends and enjoyed it each time. They have their own ale which is not too bad. There is a beer harder out the back and now there is also a roof terrace at the top. Good for groups of people. All in all a great night out with great company. There are outside heaters in the beer garden and some seriously cool heaters upstairs. Had to take a photo of them. The roof of both outside hard van open or close depending on the weather.

The order has to be placed at the bar. When u go to pub, you expect decent portions and hearty food, but not there! Cat size bowls for their soup + 2 massive chunks of soda bread. Why would I need so much bread??? The soup was thick like mash with weird taste (dunno what they put inside)… 4 chicken tenders and bit of fries looked like kids meal. Spent nearly 27€ and walked out hungry. Gave this place a second chance. Unfortunately money is more important than reputation
