Decided to come here today with my family they wanted to celebrate and have a ‘taste of india’ after me coming home from India itself! 🇮🇳 Outside doesn’t look like much, inside has a nice decor. We got sat down at a table for four and the server was extremely ill mannered and rude. He came across like we were an inconvenience to his day. There was a couple at another table so the place was not busy at all and I could see he was alone for a very short period of time. We waited 5 minutes to be handed the menus, my father asked for a pint of Guinness and the server just walked off...he did not even take the rest of the drink orders we didn’t even have water presented to us. Nothing.
Another table walked in and got handed menus straight away and got served drinks 2 minutes after arrival. I could clearly see this server had not got much English or general service skills. My father then called the server over and asked where was his drink he ordered (Guinness) other people were getting served before us who only entered the building so we felt very singled out. I then called the “manager” over and asked could we even get drinks of water for the table as we haven’t been served since arrival or even asked what drinks we’d like. I explained it was the most atrocious service I’ve ever endured and I’ve ate in ‘spice of india’ at other locations and this one is by far the WORSE. The “manager” mumbled and told me it’s only two of them! I myself work in the catering and hospitality industry and I’ve never came across such dreadful service. I just had to wonder how two people CAN’T accommodate 3 tables? Absolutely ridiculous. And laughable. 3 tables including ours so in total there was 8 people in the building and we couldn’t even get served? What a joke!
If you are getting an appalling service you’ve every right to walk away from that restaurant and that’s exactly what we did. I paid for the alcohol beverage and we happily walked out of that restaurant and went else were!
Rubbish, awful service along with a rude unexciting dull server who clearly hates his job. And I did inverted commas for the manager cause he wasn’t exactly managerial material at all. His customer service wasn’t the best and his lack of concern for customers - well he had none. I’ve seen restaurants close up, I’ve seen hotels shut down all because of service and the power of reviews and I can honestly say If the owner does not change the staff quality of service this chain of restaurant in Blanchardstown will be the first to GO! 💯
And I will never be back here and I certainly do NOT recommend coming here. And I will say there is exquisite Indian restaurants around the area who provide exceptional service but if you are willing to settle above average then this is the place to be.

Read moreI visited Spice of India in Dublin 15 on December 10, 2023, and my experience was nothing short of a culinary and customer service nightmare. The food quality was shockingly below standards, leaving a lot to be desired. We ordered four dishes along with naan, expecting a delightful Indian dining experience, but what we received was far from it.
The real horror unfolded when we encountered the owner. Instead of addressing our concerns with courtesy, we were met with hostility. The owner not only shouted at us without cause but also resorted to violent threats, creating an atmosphere of fear and discomfort. To make matters worse, when it came time to settle the bill, he snatched the money from my hand, displaying a complete lack of professionalism.
Regrettably, the consequences of dining at Spice of India extended beyond poor service. The food we consumed resulted in a severe case of food poisoning, further adding to our ordeal. It's disheartening to think that a meal priced at €120 could lead to such a distressing experience.
My sincere advice to potential patrons: steer clear of Spice of India in Dublin 15. The owner's alarming anger and apparent mental issues create an environment that is not only unwelcoming but downright dangerous. Save yourself the trouble and opt for a dining establishment that values its customers and upholds basic standards of service and hygiene. Your dining experience deserves better than what Spice of India has to offer. I have attached a photograph of the angry little man plus a photograph of the salad whicb included frozen garden peas which...
Read moreVery poor service. I had to ask for a glass of water 4 times until I got it. I ordered a beef dish: they brought me lamb, I ate it as I didn't want to wait longer and we all make mistakes. Although when I told them, not an apology was given. Also when I was about to finish my main, I found a hair in my lamb that I never order 😪. This time the waiyer express his apology but just blaming the chef🙄.The taste of the food really was average and the staff definetly might be nice but they are not paying attention 100% to their customers. Specially the owner was very rude with his staff in front of everyone. They also were even playing with the intensity of the light of the whole restaurant when people was tryung to eat🤔,even arguments about. The boss manners specially were not very nice.We had a voucher from living social and after all we had to pay 5.95 euro. We were happy to pay, no problem but then the owner said we cannot pay with card it had to be with cash. I thought really? After all he could not have a good gesture, as the bad experience I had there? We were lucky we had 10 euro cash! Threw words: NEVER...
