Syrian House Cuisine — Restaurant in Fingal

To say i was disgusted with the overall experience of this restaurant/take away would be an understatement. I went there a few weeks ago and had a nice meal and from that experience decided to try it again. Ift was like night and day.

Waited over 1.5 hours for food, and when I called to get an update after waiting an hour on eta the guy said it was on its way. Still waited over a half an hour to get delivery. Establishment is a 5-10 drive away from my home. After being assured our food would be piping hot when we received it, most of it was stone cold. We were also left short a drink from the order. After being called by the restaurant to say they were out of stock of chicken wings we decided to get a beef burger but we got a chicken burger instead. Shocking stuff altogether. I would have grabbed a chipper on the way home if i thought it was gonna be such a disastrous experience. . €35 was what we spent on a meal for 2 people. And all we got as a gesture of good will was a dessert that tasted like soap.

I will finish this by saying it gives me no pleasure in giving a bad review to a business but i was so appalled by the experience that I felt i had no choice. I would like to have an opportunity to speak with the owner to discuss it further but i doubt that will happen. Wont...

I've only been once, so I would not write them off. They are very new, and need time to get organised. When our order was taken, the servers should have immediately brought out drinks to the table, followed by appetisers. That would have made the very long wait for our main dishes more acceptable. They attempted to bring everything out at once, which led to some people having a meal and others still waiting for their food. I recommend a bit of training (I have a lot of experience working in restaurants, and I know how challenging it can be, but a bit of training and organisation goes a long way). Everything was fairly good, except for the hummus was a bit bland. I think I will definitely come back another time when the take away isn't so busy and hopefully have a better experience. I adore Middle Eastern food and often go to Damascus gate in town so I had high expectations when a Syrian restaurant opened up in Blanchardstown, very disappointed with the Tabbouleh. Absolutely flavourless, no seasoning, no lemon or salt or pepper or even oil and worst was I ordered the tabbouleh with bulgur, where was the bulgur? Just plain parsley in every bite. Terrible. I ordered the grill for 2 and the rice was gorgeous so rice alone gets the stars. Chicken another star and salad too. The meat (lamb or.beef) was dreadfully overcooked. I couldn't even bite into it and again had no flavour..very disappointed. I'll go to Damascus gate only now and never...
