The salad was the best part of dinner. Unfortunately, after that, it was all downhill. The server delivering the food was at an auction, calling out the dishes as she delivered them. If the meal had the wrong side dish, she grabbed the side off the plate (grabbing the top rim of the bowls), and took it away. The steaks were overcooked and dry. The pork was dry and had no flavor, no sauce. The creamy potatoes had no cream, were not creamy, and were tasteless and dry, just two scoops of potato in a bowl. Side salads had no dressing. No ketchup for the fries. No follow up by the server until we finished dinner. After complaining, the manager gave some discounts, which was thoughtful. But really, the experience could have been improved by better service and better meal prep. Disappointing overall.

The soup was delicious, and the main dish wasn’t bad either. But then came the cocktail “a Manhattan” that was absolutely disgusting. I took a sip and thought, This can’t be right… maybe I missed something. So I asked my friends to try it, and they all had the same reaction. I called the waitress over and asked to swap it for a beer instead. To their credit, the beer was really good. But then came the real kicker I still had to pay for that awful cocktail. Seriously? I’ve never had to pay for something so bad. Back when I was a teenager, one of my go-to drinks was beer mixed with the cheapest vodka imaginable. And you know what? Even that was ten times better than this Manhattan. Summary: Fish&chips - not bad, beer - nice chowder - amazing 💚 Cocktail - Ridiculous 🫠

The Flesk in Killarney is a real hidden gem! We had such a warm, welcoming experience from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy—exactly what you want after a day of exploring the national park or wandering around town. The food was absolutely spot on—hearty, well-cooked, and full of flavor. I had the roast lamb and it was melt-in-your-mouth good, while the rest of the table raved about the seafood. Portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel like regulars. You can tell it’s a family-run place with a lot of heart. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Irish hospitality and a solid meal in Killarney! ⸻

The food was good the service was absolutely horrible. It was hard to get a server to come ever.

We waited 20+ minutes after dessert for the bill and had to wave someone down. No check in after the mains we waited a while for that to be cleared. The staff working weren’t even friendly in the slightest, it seemed like we were inconveniencing them being there. They were short and borderline rude.

Not sure if they were busy, it was our particular demographic, or something since a lot of other reviews were ok. But I even saw other people come up trying to pay and being told that someone will come by. When our bill came they asked us several times if we wanted to tip.

I don’t expect to be doted on but for a resteraunt at this price point ideally would expect decent or defendable service. The food was average and did not...

Flesk has an interesting decor in that the inside is covered in plates from various American Legion posts across the US. It's a nice bit of a connection if you're a yank (like me) coming to eat there. The service is nice enough (for Europe), and the people are friendly enough. It was super-busy while we were there, and based on the accents it was mostly filled with tourists (like us).

The low rating is because the food was sub-par. We ordered a steak and the lamb chops, and both were under-cooked. The lamb was close to raw, which isn't very close to medium-well, which is what I asked for. The sides were soggy and not well-cooked. But at least the fries tasted like fries. Considering all of the other nice places to eat in the area, I would recommend going...
