Costa Coffee — Restaurant in South Dublin

I was here with my partner today and I wasn’t impressed with it at all. I’m not one to complain but it’s actually the second negative experience I’ve had with poor customer service in Liffey Valley Costa. I don’t think the staff enjoy working here! Two of the staff members seemed to be having an argument behind the counter while serving and rushing people’s orders. I asked for something from the menu that wasn’t available and one of the staff members shouted at me ‘’ I told you already we don’t have it’’. (It was very rude) I’m hard of hearing in my left ear so I kindly asked the staff member to repeat what she said. Another gentleman beside me ordering his coffee wasn’t impressed with the service either. He said to me “ are they for real, it’s bad service ”. I wont be returning back here for coffee. Perhaps they were having an "off day" as i have frequently visited Costa with no problems, today however was different.. The cafe was busy but plenty of empty tables had yet to be cleared so things felt chaotic and messy. When i was leaving after 30 mins a girl was starting to clean the tables but that should be a constant thing as many people pop into the cafe while shopping so there is a constant turnover.

The bathrooms also looked like they could do with a good clean, the door to the Gents was open and the floor in front of the toilet had " water" spilled on it. The large rolls of toilet rolls in the ladies seemed as if they had gotten wet and redried. Outside the bathrooms was a bucket and mop and i was so tempted to mop the bathroom floors which is not exactly the feeling a visit to Costa...

The staff in this place are absolutely incompetent one girl started taking my order, continued speaking to a colleague as I tried to order before running off and letting someone else take my order, after taking my order and letting me pay the staff member asked if it was okay to wait 10-15 minutes for my frappe as it was coming from a different costa, if I knew that before paying I would’ve just left it. While here I also found someone had left their purse, I told staff who didn’t even move to pick the purse up and move it behind the counter, I had to personally hand it into them.
