Mr Bumbles — Restaurant in The Borough District of Clonmel

I have being at Mr. Bumbles' a few times & find the staff friendly, customer service excellent. Food is some of the best I have tasted & location is central to everything . It is a small B&B and is very cosy I really liked the décor. It is very family friendly, The rooms were comfortable but average. But if you need anything all you had to do was ask. I can't recommend the food highly enough. Even if you were are in Clonmel just for a days shopping then there is no better place and value for money that Mr. Bumbles'. The If you are in Clonmel I would highly recommend this B&B My only negative is that it is not wheel chair accessible and I did ask about this and was told that they had applied but were refused to make it wheel chair accessible which I find in this day and age so very wrong as I think a lot of wheel chair users would not be able to stay here due to this and I can't blame the owners as they have tried to make it wheelchair accessible but it is the council who has refused them. The council should be ashamed...

A week early we booked via phone and we were told that a room for the night with breakfast is 70 euro. We booked. On arrival we were told the manager was not there? (I ve no idea why the manager needs to be present whilst checking in) and we should call back later, when we called back an hour later we were told "sure go on off there we will call you back in an hour" the call never came until 10pm when we where in bed in the big Hotel up the road and for 55 pn pps with breakfast and dinner up to 15 euro. Terrible service for a B&B and over priced too. I Can't say I'd give this place a second chance, just got a bad Aura about the place and there very unprofessional too. I would however give this place a wide birth and I'd look around the town as there are loads of other much nicer places that are fare...

Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. My husband is picky about his steak and he asked for it medium rare. To our surprise, it came out Medium Rare! He was delighted and he loved the sauce which was Jamesons. My mum in law only wanted chicken, no potatoes, no veg because it would be too much for her. The staff offered her a smaller portion of both which was very kind of them. She loved the mushroom sauce. I ordered the fish and chips. The batter was light and crisp, just the way I like it and the salad dressing was fab! We came away very happy with our meal and I highly recommend this as a place to visit. Five...
