Crazy to think a business that holds themselves high in stature like this treats a costumer, myself and my family put at least 1000 per month getting food, drink etc onto this business, I bring my family here at 2, 3 times a month for a treat because although the food here is really good, the management today failed big time..after paying 55 euro for food I was refused a drink, then my friend was refused a drink. I asked to speak to management and was told i could have a drink if I wasn't with my friend, my friend has ADHD, a medical disorder, apparently he was too under the influence, we went from fitzgeralds menswear to collect wedding suits and wanted to celebrate with a carvery and a pint fully sober, unfortunately we were told we couldn't be served alcohol because we had enough, then to be told it was because of my friend..what an absolute joke, two sober people being told no because apparently the manager on today has 30+ years experience on judging people who have mental disorders and may seem hyper at times. Honestly, myself and my family loved this business until today..for a person to be singled out like that and discriminated against was so embarrassing. Why take our money for food in the 1st place? Legal proceedings now in motion. And never will my family enter this premises ever again. Thank god we have witnesses who seen and heard everything, legal action to follow, do not go here, at least until they sort the discriminative management, honestly can't...
Read moreI was going to be staying at a modern hotel in a city for 2 weeks so I wanted to start my trip from America in a small town hotel with a nice pub. Mulcahy's in Clonmel fit the bill wonderfully.||||I don't know how old the hotel or its neighbors are, but they were build in the past when architecture was more interesting. The entire neighborhood of stores and shops are updated and modernized, while keeping the charm from the past. The street that Mulcahy's is on is bustling with life and vigor. It was refreshing to see an active small town shopping district.||||The check in was friendly and easy. They took my bags up while I moved my car to the back lot. The room was comfortable and roomy.||||The star of Mulcahy's, and the reason that I picked it, is the pub. It is a beautiful, classic pub, run by friendly people. I spent most of my time here getting adjusted from the jet lag. They have a restaurant on the other side of the lobby but I ate my meals at the bar. It is too good to leave. I had aq nice burger for my first meal, and really nice fish and chips every other meal.||||Like all great Irish pubs, it is a neighborhood gathering place, families eating, friends drinking and laughing, and sports on a few TVs. It was the perfect place for me to start this Irish trip.||||Bulmer's cider is made in the town so I recommend...
Read moreFirst time staying at Mulcahy's and will definitely be back. Quick and easy check in with Gerry I think the staff members name was. Lovely guy who told us where to park our car in the free carpark behind the property. We had drinks and ate there that evening. Food was gorgeous and served quickly. Alot of people eating there and staff were busy but very efficient. Rooms were spotlessly clean with air conditioning to heat room and could regulate to suit your needs. Bathroom was immaculate. Had breakfast the following morning, it was busy but again staff knew their stuff and were well able to cope. Breakfast was massive cooked fresh and piping hot. On return to home I noticed I forgot my phone charger, I rang hotel to see if they found it. They said they would check and ring me back. A lovely girl Sharon rang me and said she found my charger and she kindly posted it to me. Thank you so much Sharon for being so helpful. I have to say I would highly recommend Mulcahy's and its staff. Times and things have changed since Covid with bad attitudes, bad service and bad manners but you will find none of this at Mulcahy's. 10 out 10 from me. Thank you all at Mulcahy's for making our overnight stay brilliant...
