1st time in the pub. The pub is lovely, small, clean and the staff were efficient and very busy. Service was quick. I rated the food 5, but I don't know if/or what they serve. I accidentally went in on a busy Saturday afternoon. I don't like busy noisy pubs or sports bars. The main area was full of people watching a football match. It was very loud, energetic shouting. There's a small room that was reserved for a hen party at the back of the bar. There is a beer garden out the back, which is nice to get away from the noise. That was full, busy. At some point a singer with an amplified mic started. Thankfully that wasn't too loud.
I'm sure other days and nights it wouldn't be too loud or busy though if they have sports on the TV's all the time it wouldn't be for me.
The atmosphere was great (I rated 5) if you're into full on atmosphere, too much for me though. If I was to go again I'd phone before...
Read moreLet me tell you about the dedication of the lovely staff at this establishment- the NICEST people I have ever met in my life. I stupidly flung my oura smart ring off my finger last night and could not find it for the life of me. EVERY SINGLE member of the staff tried to help me locate it to no avail. However, the next day I came back and the owner Phillip got down on his hands and knees after going to great lengths to locate a clothes hanger to fish it out of the floorboards. Absolutely unbelievable. The NICEST, KINDEST, BEST people I’ve ever met. Thank you, thank...
Read moreCalled in here for an afternoon tea recently. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful. The afternoon tea is a mountain of food served with tea/coffee or prosecco. The food was absolutely delicious. At the end of the afternoon there was a seamless and unobtrusive switch from cafe to pub. We stayed into the evening because the atmosphere was fantastic and the bar staff were just as attentive as the cafe staff. There is a great beer garden out back to that isn't to be missed on a nice day. A real little gem in the...
