Update. Very disapointed, with food quality, service and prices. Do not think we will go back in nezt future. You have to keep calling to be able to book a table, after the voicemail left they called back late evening. Food was delicious, we were three friends there, and all of us have enjoyed the food. Food fresh, beautifully served, hot. Wanted for desert something chinese, but no options there. Service could improve, bottle of vine was opened and served, but nobody came after to serve the rest of it. After having a starter and a main we were full and wanted to wait a little for desert, every couple minutes we have been asked if we are ready for desert after telling them we need some time as we were too full. Good location, the place looked clean and cosy. Very comfortable chairs and tables really wide. Enough space between tables, so you don't hear other people conversations. The place was full of people, all tables were ocupied. Pricy, there is a set menu for €32.50 and has plenty of good choices there. Will go back, but not the place to go very often, as it is very expensive for...

My husband and I first booked this restaurant by e-mail which they said they didn't receive. I called them and they took my booking we were staying in a hotel in Wexford and we had eaten there a few times before and the food was amazing. However, when we went Saturday for8 0 Clock it was a very different experience. Our order was taken, we got no prawn crackers while we awaited our meal, our white wine was left sitting on the table and no ice bucket for it. We seen at other tables, they were given their prawn crackers and their wine coolers.......I felt the service and the treatment was very shoddy...Then to add to that my husband ordered beef in black bean sauce and it came served in a bowl, which I have never seen in any Chinese before. He tasted the beef and it definitely did not taste right. We were left there and no one came near us for a good 40 mins.... so needless to say we were very disappointed after been ther a few times before and really loving it and telling all our friends and family about it. We would definitely not be rushing back to the Emerald...

If it was possible to give 10 stars, we would. Hands down the most amazing Asian restaurant we have ever visited. Our host Jean was extremely helpful and nothing was a problem for him or his amazing team in the kitchen. We had crispy prawns with a beautiful light lemon dip to start. I had mixed seafood in a crispy potato nest with beautiful vegetables, and my wife had a Malaysian curry with chicken and prawns which was so tasty and light. We thought the meal couldn’t get any better, but it did. We ordered fresh strawberry pavlova which had fresh cream and vanilla ice cream. We will definitely be back as soon as we possibly can. The most helpful and friendliest staff without being imposing or stuck in your face, but were there ready if required....
