Crust — Restaurant in The Borough District of Wexford

Absolutely outstanding pizzas. Among the best ive ever had, and i work in catering industry and i have eaten pizza in many countries. I have read some of the 1 star reviews that this company got on google and i am gob-smacked. Some people just dont understand that this is true neapolitan style pizza, not brazilian style, or any other style, its neapolitan. One reviewer complained that there was no carmelised onions on the menu!! Thats like leaving a review for a chinese takeaway complaining that there is no garlic mayonaise on the menu! I get so frustrated when i see a true authentic neapolitan pizza joint getting poor reviews because visitors did not like the decor, the crust was not thick enough, or there was a lack of toppings to choose from. These reviews only personify the ignorance of the reviewer as opposed to the quality of service from Crust. If you want multiple choice of cheap frozen toppings try Apache or Dominos. If you want the best authentic neapolitan style pizza your ever going to get in this...

I was very disappointed with this restaurant not only because it has so much potential but also because it would be good to see it succeed. I got the urban industrial vibe but it needs some warmth to make it less harsh. The lighting and seats (plastic) need to be softened. The food itself was mediocre, my pizza-vegetarian was bland and my partners-the butchers block was ok. But they lacked imagination, flavour and spice and toppings. The addition of chili, garlic oil, pesto, caramelised onion etc., would have helped. The starters were also disappointing, focatchio is not something most people want to eat before a pizza-it’s more bread. Finally, the price, it is way overpriced for what is on offer. A half carafe of wine on tap at €17.50 is nothing short of extortion. I wish the restaurant, owners and staff well, it’s a niche that needed to be filled in Wexford but the menu needs to improve significantly before I would be tempted back or recommend...

The food was absolutely delicious however my daughter wasn’t a fan of the bread because it had a bit of a plastic texture due to our order was given nearly AN HOUR late to bring in and we even ordered starter but the manager himself brought it in with the main course and we were obviously disappointed and mad because we couldn’t eat both the starter and the main course together because it was too much. And we asked the manager why did he bring the starter with the main course but HE COMPLAINED that we didn’t tell him that we ordered a starter but it was clearly an starter on the menu and we even should him the item that it was a starter but he wasn’t convinced. We had a bit of argue and even the other customers weren’t very happy as well due to the late order receiving. He ended up taking off the drinks and the starters from our checkout but still this was not a great...
