The food was great - the service was the worst over ever experienced! Had to go and ask a waiter to take our order (we had looked at the menu downstairs) and had decided what we wanted. (We waited 20 minutes) Ordered 2 fish dishes the same, my friend ordered hers with veg and potatoes.I ordered mine with salad and chips. Food arrived and I only had salad and chips. Asked a waiter to find out where my food was and was told "there was a misunderstanding" the fish arrived pretty quickly. We waited again for the waitress to come and take away our plates. There was a family next to us with young kids waiting on 3 bowls of soup for the children and they had to wait a very long time too. Then had to find another waitress if we could see the dessert menu. Dessert was lovely again couldn't fault the food. Then I asked another waitress could I have the bill. Well I waited and waited and nobody came. Got up from the table and asked another waitress for the bill - then I was told "you pay at the window!" What window, where is the window? who doesn't take payment at tables!? So went to "the window" and paid the bill. Took the receipt and saw in the car I was charged for the salad and chips which were supposed to be part of the main. It was only €8 but I literally couldn't be bothered going back in as we were in the place over 90 minutes and I was fed up to the back teeth! I understand it's a busy place - but there were plenty of staff standing around doing nothing. This is the first time in my life I've never left a tip! It's very unfortunate as the surroundings were lovely, the food was great - but the waiting staff...

Disappointed. Was told, that this is place has the best steak in Dundalk some even say Ireland. I have to disagree with that statement. Was there and ordered a set menu for 32 EUR. I had the mushrooms as a starter which were quite good. My friend had salmon. The salmon was okay but nothing special. The combo with the beetroot did not really work. My other friend had the spring rolls and they were quite dry and bland. We then had the steak which was mediocre. My friend ordered medium raw and got medium. Also disappointed about the garlic sauce that came with it. Basically just oil with some garlic flavour in it. The dessert wasn't great either we had the tiramisu, the cheesecake and Irish coffee. The Irish coffee was okay but the desserts weren't great. The testure of both of them was the main problem. The tiramisu was more like a sponge cake than a tiramisu. The most disappointing part was the service. We had to wait for our table which was okay, but weren't really given any update on the process. The waiter took our order and then disappeared for like 30 minutes and then we were given our table and had to wait an additional 10 minutes for our starter. When we got our dessert, my friend got his irish coffee very quickly but we had to wait like an additional 15 minutes for our desserts. When I paid, I wasn't asked how my experience was so I asked if there is away to give feedback but was told that they don't have a feedback box and was brushed off....

Staff not friendly and rude. We were 12 and of course there were mistakes on what we ordered (but we were 12 so it can be understandable) but they were not that nice anymore when were telling them that it was not what some of them ordered, I also found a hair in my scampies so I told them and 3 minutes later they came back with another plate (I guess they just removed the one with the hair) but I could not eat it anymore so I left the plate but at the end the waitress wanted me to pay it lol. Also at the bill time, what a surprise, the waitress could not count what each of us ordered and remove it from the bill so at the end it was confusing and apparently 72€ was missing but we don’t know from where and what lol and she was also making people pay more than what she supposed. Treat better your customer especially those who pay 500€ in one night. One customer unhappy = 7 people aware about it (we were 12 so make the count......

Was there Saturday evening still can't understand why bookings for table for two cannot be taken on Saturdays 🤷‍♀️ ( has to be 6 or more) we were lucky (or so I thought) got a table no problem...however I felt like I was in a creche. I know we've all been there with young children etc etc, but maybe a designated area for young families would be a good Idea. I felt sorry for couple behind us who were older I found it difficult to hear my partner over the screams of one little customer, don't know how they managed. There was two family groups in the area we were just a thought maybe it would be a good idea?? Staff excellent as usual and food lovely

Really nice restaurant, decor etc. Food was nice however my fillet steak, which was a good size, was over cooked. I asked for med to well done but it was well done. There were plenty of waiters/waitresses about and service was quite quick however I was never asked if my food was ok as I was waiting for the opportunity to mention about the steak. The restaurant was busy and I would return again to give it another go. Back again, this time my sirloin steak was cooked perfectly and the service was very good. There were five of us at our table and everyone was impressed by the quality of the food and the service. Definitely worth a visit.

Great food. We were a party of eight, and all the food was served promptly by the friendly staff. Steaks, chicken and fish, lots of variety. The risotto starter was one of the favourites, and the fillet steaks were very large. Only downside was the Irish coffees which we had to return as the coffee was so week. They were immediately replaced and the second lot were perfect, hence only 4 stars for service.
