Café Lucia Ardkeen — Restaurant in Waterford

Today I went to cafe Lucia with a family member. She ordered a burger and chips and I ordered homemade chicken goujons and chips. We waited 20 mins and when our food came, it looked quite appetising. Upon first glance my chicken looked alright. But as I started to eat it I noticed it looked a bit pink. I ate some chips and some salad which was really tasty. I tore open a few other goujons to inspect and 2 other goujons were raw. They were hot but pink. My family member said she would alert a member of staff but I didn't want to make a big deal. The waitress told the kitchen and came back to us saying because the chicken is free range, and how its cut, it can be pink. This confused me. She offered me a brownie or cake but I was turned off all food. When paying, I expected a refund but I was not given even the option for a recipt and my total was 37 euros. Not pleased. First time i went for breakfast with friend As a muslim always concerned about vegan options and no meat stuff The lady SHERON was so nice and answered all my questions regarding if no animal Oil used or do u use the same pan for bacon and other stuff She was kind enough to answer my questions and even suggested us a vegetarian food option and even told us what to order and how much Because of her we had a great time Enjoyed the food 🥰 Not enough options for muslim friendly though but what they have is good enough 2ndly didnt get the chance to have bakery items But Im sure they must have no alcohol and gelatine free...

My friend and I visited this cafe and there was a cue, seeing a cue is not a bad sign, It means that this cafe is very popular and from my experience I can understand why, the staff are so friendly and polite, then the manager engaged with customer from moment of arrival to taking us to a table even when ordering food service here at cafe Lucia is not any where else the deserve a gold for service that both staff and management provide to customers and no one customer is treated differently to another.
