Worst omniplex experience ever. I went in with 4 friends this evening to watch the new topgun film. We all booked out tickets separately. 1 of my friends was paying by cash and the other was paying by card, on both in which the machine froze. The supervisor of this establishment assured my two friends they would be sitting next to us, not to worry and to wait for their food. They both payed at the counter for their tickets. We made our way up as you usually do with your food and took the seats that we booked. Two women came up five minutes later and said to us to move because the movie was starting and that we were sitting in their seats and they were actually seats the machine gave to us but then they gave them these particular seats. The supervisor told my two friends to move even though it was quite clear that we were coming to the film as a group and wanted to sit together. We were not happy with the way the staff handled this situation and had said not to worry about seats when they did absolutely nothing. My friends were then given two random seats that were left over. My friend said they she would rather have sit on the floor that be on her own away from the group. The two women had no empathy whatsoever like the staff of this omniplex. We were very unhappy with the way we were treated as young adults. It’s clear our voices were irrelevant compared to the older womens as they got what they wanted in the end...

Omniplex, where do I start at the age of 14 I came in with my friends to watch a movie for my birthday. We walk in buy the tickets and straight away the manager starts giving us looks over buying a ticket in a group of 8 that kept to themselves. A few moments later she brought us to the screen and by accident I sat with my friends in the wrong seats but the people who were meant to sit there had no problem with swapping seats with us. The manager then came up to us and ONLY checked me and my friends tickets but no one else’s on the row. Me and 1 friend of mine ended up having to be moved away from the group for no reason but then when we did move she started giving out to me for going on my phone during the adds accused us of looking like messers and said 2 cameras had to watch me specifically because of the accident with being in the wrong seats , then I left to talk to my friends in a social area and she followed us out and began to give us bad looks for being unhappy with the situation after being shouted at. Over all I was really upset with this because this is not how consumers should be treated after paying the amount to be at the cinema when we did no messing at all. All consumers have the right to redress which is what I’m opposing right now due to Consumer Act 1980. Won't be long before it's closed again, went to see " the hitman's bodyguard" in the MAXX screen, first impressions of the Cineplex were very poor, as I went to find my seat in the MAXX screen, many of the seats were still covered IN popcorn from the night before, As this was the first screening of the day (14:30) The screen had not been properly if at all cleaned since the night before, The seats themselves are very comfortable and recline ever so slightly, The stitching on the seats however where discoloured and dirty on the MAXX logo, guessing they have not been properly washed ever since installation, in the bottom right hand corner of the screen is a massive water mark on the carpet???? During the screening staff had come in to count the number of customers to ensure no one had been sneaking in (that's fine as this is normal procedure) but I have never experienced a flashlight blinding me, taking myself out of the movie experience,the popcorn was very dry, stale, and flavourless, it didn't appear to be freshly made. As a regular customer to the Odeon Cinema in Waterford I found Omniplex to be very sub standard, unprofessional, and obviously dirty. Given the reason the cinema closed years ago due to a Rat infestation, with stale popcorn left overnight, I can't see it been very long before it's closed once...
