We had a nice first time experience at this place, that could have been great if only they've had more staff on that night; the service when we arrived at the place was very personal in a lovely way, fast and caring; the food was extremely tasteful and delicious, with every bite the we took; the dishes' sizes were for the most part very reasonable, some more than the others.
And then we came to the stage of making our minds about the dessert; the time was a little later and the place has gotten pretty much full, both inside and outside, and the restaurant was clearly understaffed; and so, after telling us about their different dessert options, we said we need a minute to decide, but then it took us another 30 min to get someone to come back to the table, so we could tell them we'd take their offer to walk over to their next door dedicated dessert place; it took us another hour(!) to get someone to bring us the bill, and payingit required us walking into the restaurant and ask the waitress to charge the card... If it wasn't for the unfortunate poor service at the end of the night, I'd be giving 4 stars, as there is no option for 4.5. The other points missing are for really good food but only to that level, and for the wet(...) glass wine container into which the waiter poured the wine bottle that we ordered.
We hope to visit again and maybe have an even better experience the...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to trying this restaurant, we'd heard so much about it but It was very disappointing. The music was unbearably loud, customers were shouting their conversations, the only way to be heard above the music. It was so dark it was difficult to read the menu and the tiny candle didn't help at all. We ordered eggplant as a starter but it was very bland. My main course 'Acco Balagan' was excellent, the fish cooked just right and a variety of flavours in the accompanying burgle and vegatables. I'd have enjoyed it more if I could see it without having to flash my phone on it from time to time but otherwise I can't fault it. My husband wasn't impressed with the barbunia, it was dry and overcooked. My son's meal was 'pretty good, not great.' Presumably the volume of the music is a ploy to get people in and out quickly and free up tables. It worked, as soon as we finished the main course we got up, paid and left without even considering coffee and dessert. The people at the next table did the same. We were there for less...
Read moreWe were 8 ppl, some of the food we ordered was absolutely perfect but some of it was not suitable for the level that this place aspire to be. They gave us the main dishes with huge gap when the firs one got his dish after 10 minutes and the last one after 40 minutes of not more. The balagan in the shuk dish is wonderful and so are all the fish dishes and Kiko San Jack. The deserts are also amazing but the seafood pan is too small for a main course and comes without any bread, rice pure etc. And it is disappointing because you get an OK dish but it's small so I would at least expect for a piece of bread for the sauce. The asparagus starter is pointless to order if you are more than two people.. It's literally has 4 asparaguses. I will come back again in few months to see if they improve some of the dishes because you could see a very good hand of a chef there and they were very attentive and sent us drinks when dishes...
