I recently dined at Libira Brewpub with my family and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. While the service and timing were acceptable, the food itself was a major letdown.
Despite the extravagant names of the dishes on the menu, the reality was far from impressive. The dishes turned out to be incredibly simple, something one could easily prepare at home using a microwave.
To make matters worse, my daughter received a dish that was not only overcooked and burned but also completely inedible. She ended up eating only a side of potato fries, which were equally lackluster in terms of flavor and texture.
What struck me the most was that our experience wasn't unique. The other family dining with us had a similar opinion about the food. Their children also expressed disappointment, echoing our sentiments about the taste and quality.
Overall, it's disheartening to see a restaurant with so much potential fall short in delivering a satisfying dining experience. I hope the management takes these criticisms constructively and works towards improving the quality and taste of their dishes. As of now, I find it difficult to recommend Libira Brewpub based on our...
Read moreWe entered the place in the middle of a hot Saturday without any expectations and some appetite. The restaurant/brewery has a pleasant ambiance and the dim lights took a while to get used to after the harsh midday sun.
I ordered a beef sandwich and a 1/3 of their locally brewed white beer while my girlfriend went for the pork sausages and some cola. Also ordered some french fries in blue cheese sauce.
Have to say, the fries were amazing for me, the outside frame was crispy while inside it felt like a purée. It's rare to find fries that are delicious without a sauce, but this is indeed the case. The blue cheese boosted the experience even further.
Suffice to say we ran out of fries before the main food arrived, and not because the portion was small or the food took long to be prepared.
We both loved our food and the beer is excellent by all means. To be honest, it felt like we were in Prague or Munich for a moment, that is until the bill arrived with a sobering reminder that were still in Israel. Not complaining though, ive had way worse experiences for far higher prices.
Overall, great place,...
Read moreOk, this is an amazing place. They say that beer is their #1 focus, food is #2. Well, I think they pay equal attention to both, and knock it out of the park. I had the delicious white ale, my friends had the smoky porter. Both delicious. We had three different entrees, and all were fantastic and perfectly cooked. (and I was so excited about my food I didnt take a photo) I am beginning to think that food is just better in Israel!
The wait staff...well, I really should have talked about them first, because they really make the place. You are felt welcomed and like family there. The environment is young and hip, but no one makes you feel old and unhip for coming there :) (I am DEFINITELY not hip).
Downtown and close to the sea, in the up and coming area of other cool restaurants, LiBira really stands out.... even though you might pass it if you don't know where it is. The front entry is definitely NOT indicative of what is inside!! Go...eat, drink, find a night when they have live music...and enjoy. You will not be...
