After a specially tough day and several hours of driving from the south, we stopped at this branch of Japanika to pick up a late dinner.

A welcoming man took our order and another lovely waitress was empathic to how tired we looked.

They both invited us to sit at the bar while looking at the menu, and then again while waiting for our food, and we accepted gratefully.

Oddly, the bar tender wasn't as kind and when we set down the second time to wait for our food he rudly asked us to get off the bar if we don't order drinks (he knew that we were waiting for our take out, and our order did include drinks, but they were to go).

The bar had 9 sits and only one was occupied, yet he chose not to share his empty sits. How sad to see that despite his advanced age and the grey in his hair, he is yet to gain the wisdom that a little kindness can go a long way...

The food was as good as usual, we generally like the Japanika brand...

We tried to reach them on the phone a few times to reserve a table but no one answered. As we arrived we were requested to wait for at least 30 minutes to be seated. We were 7 people seated at a table for 4. We had to wait an additional 15 minutes to be handed menus, and about 10 minutes after our order, we were told that we can't order a sushi tray because it is only take-away (it was our main dish). We said we'll order something else but then had to wait an additional 10 minutes for our orders to be taken. They then got some of our orders wrong and were overall disappointed, waiting over an hour from when we came until when our orders were taken. Do not visit...

Awful disgusting place. No service at all. We went there, hostess told us to search empty table for ourselves, I needed to get up, find a waiter and bring him to our table. We ordered... Waited for 20 minutes, no one came. As we waited we were looking on other ppl's dishes and they were awful... So we got up and went to exit, hostess stopped us, asked what's wrong, insisted to check what is with our order. There was no order preparing! She tried to talk us into staying but we left, of course. Tables were dirty, waters wore dirty stained clothes, floors are terribly dirty. On way out we saw kitchen and it was disgusting on so...
